2 The experts Mr. VYTENIS ANDRIUKAITIS Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, European Commission Mr. Andriukaitis served for many years as the Minister of Health of Republic of Lithuania and was a member of the Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas). Since 2014 Mr. Andriukaitis holds the position of EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety and is the Vice President of the World Health Assembly. Mr. BRONIUS MARKAUSKAS Minister of Agriculture of Republic of Lithuania Mr. Markauskas became the Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania in He has spent a significant part of his career as a chairman of the Lithuanian Association of Milk Producers. He has also served as a chairman and deputy chairman of the Lithuanian Chamber of Agriculture. Prof. AURELIJUS VERYGA Minister of Health of Republic of Lithuania Prof. Veryga became Minister Of Health in Since 2016 he is also a member of supervisory council at the Ministry of Interior of Republic of Lithuania, Centre of Medicine. Prof. Veryga is also a board member of European Network for Smoking Prevention (ESNP) and The Nordic Alcohol and Drug Policy Network (NORDAN). Mr. PATRICK COPPENS Food Supplements Europe Director Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Mr. Coppens is heading Food Supplements Europe work in the area of food law, in particularly focusing on botanicals, REFIT and relationship with EFSA. Mr. Coppens is chair of the Belgian Food Law expert group and is a regular speaker at international conferences on various topics in the area of food law and nutrition. Mr. DIRK JACOBS, FoodDrinkEurope Deputy Director and Director of Consumer Information, Diet and Health As Deputy Director General, Mr. Jacobs supports the general management and external representation of the organisation towards EU and international institutions and stakeholders. Furthermore, he co-ordinates and manages the European food and drink manufacturing sector s positions in areas related to consumer information, diet, nutrition and health. Dr. BARBARA KLAUS Attorney-at-Law, Partner, Rödl & Partner Dr. Klaus has been awarded as the Food lawyer of the Year the Legal Community Awards and is also recommended as Leading Individual in the field of Food industry by The Legal 500 EMEA She is a member of the European Food Law Association (EFLA) and of the Food Lawyers Network Worldwide (FLN). Dr. Klaus is author and co-author of various articles and manuals in a field of food law. Ms. ONA SUŽIEDELYTĖ Adviser to the Head of Food unit of State Food and Veterinary Service Ona Sužiedelytė is responsible for safety, quality and market regulations of non-animal food products. She regularly gives lectures on food law in both international and local conferences and seminars. Ms. JURGITA SAVICKAITĖ Chief adviser to the Director of State Food and Veterinary Service and Advisory Forum member of EFSA Jurgita Savickaitė is responsible for coordination of state control related to food quality and safety, labelling of non-animal products as well as customer rights and other services related to food safety. She is also an Advisory Forum member of European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
