6 IR Strategies Summary of Communication Programs and Accomplishments for Clients 1998 to 2011 NuWhirl Systems Corp to 2011 Developed annual communication plan aimed at repositioning the company after private equity investors acquired a controlling interest in the company. Collaborated with new CEO to develop communication strategy to reinforce Nu Whirl s brand and market position. Formulated news releases to announce strategic alliances, product introductions, and appointments to the board of directors and senior leadership team; managed internal review process for news releases and distribution to the media. Identified key media contacts and initiated dialogue with editors and reporters; directed ongoing media relations. Girl Scouts Council of Orange County 2010 to 2011 (Pro bono client) Served as member of the board of directors and co-chair of Celebrate Leadership, a black-tie fundraising dinner and auction honoring women leaders in Orange County who had been Girl Scouts. The event exceeded fundraising goals and created renewed visibility for the organization and generated substantial goodwill among existing and prospective donors. Created communication roadmap for Celebrate Leadership event with objectives, timelines and key messaging. Collaborated with CEO of the Girl Scouts and her communications staff and guided the process of producing both the printed collaterals and the event video featuring 12 women and 12 Girl Scouts. Multi-Fineline Electronix, Inc to 2008 Rebuilt credibility with the investment community for senior management leading to a sixfold increase in valuation over 12-month period for this flexible printed circuit manufacturer. MFLEX (NASDAQ:MFLX) became a client after the company s stock price declined nearly 50 percent two weeks after the company s IPO due to ineffective communication with investors. Increased understanding of the company s key business drivers, including technological innovations, a low-cost manufacturing model and the strength of its relationships with the leading manufacturers of smart mobile devices resulting in a threefold increase in sell-side analyst coverage by the most highly-regarded Wall Street research firms in the technology sector. Expanded visibility for the management team among institutional investors through quarterly Wall Street tours to meet with existing and prospective investors in oneon-one meetings and by attending the leading technology conferences hosted by Wall Street firms. 6 C h a n d l e r

7 Tropitone Furniture 2001 to 2008 Developed annual communication plan to heighten awareness with national lifestyle editors and reporters at the industry s leading trade publications for this privately-held manufacturer of fine casual furniture. Mapped out a comprehensive news release program to successfully differentiate the company from its competition through messaging focused on a commitment to high quality casual furniture featuring unparalleled durability, style, comfort and value. Expanded media relations outreach from five to 30 publications and served as ongoing liaison with reporters and editors at these publications. Collaborated with the senior leadership team to develop the communication strategy to inform employees and customers of recapitalization plan and transition of the company s ownership to private equity investors. The communications goals were to: Minimize disruption of organizational change to employees productivity. Maintain stability throughout customer base during senior management transition. Global Technology Distribution Council 1998 to 2002 Collaborated with the founding CEO of this consortium of leading global IT distributors to build credibility for the GTDC as the voice of IT distributors. The focus was on addressing the confusion among key stakeholders about the rapid changes in the information technology marketplace and the perceived threat to the IT distributors business models. Conceptualized with the GTDC leadership the first annual Global Technology Distribution Summit to bring IT distributors and the IT vendor community together to discuss key channel and supply chain issues affecting the IT industry; directed the creation and production of the collateral materials for the summit.
