5 Speakers Katy Brady, MPH, CSA Katy Brady is a graduate of the University of Michigan, with a BS in Education and a Master s Degree in Public Health. She has worked as a High School teacher and coach, in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing with Wyeth/Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and in Private Patient Advocacy as a certified Senior Advisor at Heartwood Health, Inc. LAS/HICAP was then fortunate to have Katy come on board as a volunteer counselor, and in house as the Community Education Coordinator. She feels privileged to work with the LAS/HICAP team whom she terms an amazing group of people. The purpose (mission, goals, objectives) of the organization makes her happy and proud to come to work every day. The passion exhibited by her LAS/ HICAP colleagues keeps her motivated and pushing forward, never losing sight of how fortunate she feels to be part of the team. Sarah has worked for various AAPI community organizations prior to joining the federal government. She is currently a regional public affairs specialist with the federal government in San Francisco Bay Area. Sarah volunteers at the University of California, Berkeley Campus for the Department of East Asian Language where she is an advocate for preserving the Korean language classes. She is well known in the Bay Area Korean community as an advocate for immigrants rights and has an extensive knowledge of the Korean immigrant community of Northern California. Sarah also serves as Commissioner of the Alameda County Advisory Commission on Aging. Sarah s recognition awards include: 2014 Federal Employee of the Year Award 2009 State of California Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Award, Excellence in Public Service 2000 Community Leadership Award from the Korean Community Center of the East Bay, 1999 Champion for Asian Women and Families by the National Asian Women s Health Organization, and Numerous community service awards and citations.

6 Speakers Mr. Kornfield is a Medicare policy expert with nearly 20 years of public and private sector experience in Medicare Advantage and Part D payment policy. He currently serves as a Vice President of Medicare policy at America s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), where he provides research and policy support to Medicare Advantage plans in the areas of risk adjustment and regulatory policy. Previously he was a Vice President at Avalere Health, where he provided strategic advice to clients on the impacts of health reform, Medicare Advantage and Part D policy. He spent 10 years at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in a variety of roles tied to health plan payment and risk adjustment. In addition, he originated the idea to allow five-star Medicare health plans to market and enroll year round. Tom Kornfield America s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Vice President of Medicare Policy Mr. Kornfield is an expert on Medicare risk adjustment, having worked extensively with the risk adjustment model, developed impacts of changes to the model, and conducted training on both risk adjustment and Medicare Advantage payment for industry. He has also presented on risk adjustment topics on webinars and at industry sponsored conferences. Furthermore, he led the development of the 2014 and 2015 annual Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan annual payment rate announcement. For this announcement, he coordinated efforts among several staff members and other components in CMS, developed bottom line impact analyses of the payment changes in the rate notice, and also contributed technical sections on the payment methodologies for Medicare Advantage associated with the Affordable Care Act. Rosamaria Marrujo is the President and CEO of Trusted American Insurance Agency, an insurance resource for brokers located in Rocklin, California. After receiving her Bachelors at Adelphi University, Rosamaria launched her career in Long Island, New York as the Vice President of an Independent Insurance Managing General Agent. Soon afterward, she expanded her expertise in the insurance marketplace and started Trusted American Insurance Agency. After brokering over 150 new top tiered insurance contracts for her agents nationwide; she currently consults insurance carriers, organizations large and small about Medicare Health Insurance resources. Rosamaria Marrujo, President and CEO of Trusted American Insurance Agency Medicare Insurance leader for over 10 years with over 6,000 agents nationwide. SAHU Medicare General Agency of the Year (2017), UnitedHealthcare Sales achievement and honorary AARP designation (Past 6 years), among other achievements. Selected to support Washington DC think tanks in multiple insurance/medicare studies as a consultant. Selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2016 as SME for Medicare.

She is a Certified Senior Advisor and a member of NAHU s Leading Producers Round Table at the Soaring Eagle Level. Mrs. Stedt has over 40 years of experience in essential areas of the insurance industry including sales and sales management and product development and management. Maggie currently is President of Stedt Insurance Services, Inc.The firm specializes in consulting services and sales of insurance products including Medicare HMO, PDP and MediGap, individual life, health and group insurance products. Maggie is the Immediate Past President of Orange County Health Underwriters (OCAHU). She is CAHU s VP of Membership for , was the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) Region 8 Membership Chair and serves on the NAHU National Medicare Advisory Committee.She is a Distinguished Toastmaster. She was awarded the NAHU Presidential Citation Award for 2017 and the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Health Underwriters in Maggie and her husband of over 40 years, Jim, live in San Clemente, CA with 2 Siamese cats and enjoy spoiling their nieces and nephews!
