3 I was glad to attend the Chief Learning Officer Summit, and was impressed to see several young people keen on corporate learning and development. The thought-leadership and exchange of positive ideas generated can go a long way in helping corporations both government and private appreciate the need to invest in education, capability building and skill development. 4 The 6th annual Chief Learning Officers Summit India holds the TISS-LeapVault CLO Awards in Mumbai. The sixth edition of the Chief Learning Officers (CLO) Summit India was held on 9 10 October 2014 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai. Chief Guest for the summit was Mr. Piyush Goyal, Hon Minister for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy, Government of India. The summit and the awards together represent India's finest corporate learning & talent management professionals and provide them and others with a high level opportunity to interact, learn and share best practices. The summit is India's most premier platform for leaders in corporate learning, coaching, organization and leadership development. In their second year now, the TISS-CLO awards are based on nominations and have traditionally attracted participation from leading global and Indian organizations from their earliest days. The awards recognize the stellar efforts in various aspects and methods of people development. The Guest of Honor was Mrs. Rajashree Birla, The Aditya Birla Group. Mr. KV Srinivasan, CEO, Reliance Commercial Finance, Dr. Tony O'Driscoll, Executive Director, Duke CE, USA, Prof. S. Parasuraman, Director, TISS, Mr. Kumaar Bagrodia, CEO, LeapVault, were among the other dignitaries present at the event. The two-day summit was organized by LeapVault, a premier executive development & knowledge media company. The summit was a landmark event in the learning & development, training, coaching space in India and the world with 100 speakers. In line with the original theme of the CLO Chief Learning Officers Summit India, the awards are an effort to learn from and celebrate best practices in various areas and aspects of learning & development. Recognising those Individuals / Organizations that have excelled in the use of learning and development activities to significantly impact organizational objectives and / or Individual lives. Key Points Nominations are open only to corporates. Nominations are Not open to training vendors, HR products, education providers, e-learning and consulting companies. Jury based (TISS, LeapVault, others) Winners to be announced and felicitated at the CLO Chief Learning Officers Summit India on 10th September 2015 at Mumbai Nominations are accepted from 1st April 2015 to 30th July 2015 The nominations for the CLO Awards are non commercial and free of cost. There has been an overwhelming response to the Awards initiative over the last 3 years. To ensure that the companies applying are in fact committed to learning & development and to ensure seriousness in the awards application itself, we expect that along with the awards nomination the company will also send in their delegates nominations to attend the CLO Summit. The ticket prices for the same have been discounted as compared to the original rates. 10 General Terms & Conditions for the Awards Who Cannot Nominate The awards are not meant for vendors, consultants, solution providers, education providers, skill development companies, in the below mentioned businesses: learning, training, coaching, mentoring, learning management systems, e-learning, mobile learning, social learning, simulations game based learning, education, classroom training, workshops, seminars, conferences, and any such other services to external customers. If declared a winner the company shall not use the award to promote or endorse any such service offered by the company in the future. Incorrect Information If any information provided by any participant is found to be incorrect in any manner, the participant will not be permitted to continue participation in the Awards If a request for proof of information provided in the nomination form is made by the Awards Management, the participant should be able to provide the same. Nomination Categories Determination of the category to which a participant belongs is at the discretion of the Awards Management Determine Winners Short-listed nominations will be presented to an Independent Jury for determination of winners Jury's decision shall be final and binding on all participants General Decisions of the Award Management on all matters is final and binding on all participants and no correspondence will be entertained on the same. LeapVault, TISS, jury members will not be liable for any claims/ disputes made by the participants in relation to Awards Liability Awards Management cannot and shall not be held accountable/ liable for any disruptions/ stoppages/ interruptions or cancellation of the Awards or its ceremony on account of any factors beyond its control Acceptance to Rules and Regulations Participation in the Awards will be construed as an acceptance of the rules and regulations stated herein Nominations are accepted from 1st April 2015 to 30th July 2015 The nominations for the CLO Awards are non commercial and free of cost.
