1 Homework Due March 16 th Language Arts: Word Work (spelling)- download your Group words from below the HW button. Cut out your words and you can do 5 of the following activities: Name: Homework due: WORD STUDY HOMEWORK MENU Cut out your words. Sort them and store them in an envelope for the week. Use your word cards to complete at least of the activities on this board. Please attach your work to this menu or complete the activities on the back. Color each box after you complete the activity and have your Speed Sort Use your words to do a speed sort with a parent. Write your time here and have your parent initial it. Time: Picture It! Choose 6 of your words. Draw pictures to illustrate them. Write the word underneath each picture. Puzzle Fun! Go to the website below to create a word scramble or search using your list of words. Print it to turn in. kids/homework/spelling.htm ABC Order Choose 8 words and write them in alphabetical order. parent initial it! Word Hunt See how many of your words you can find during your weekly reading. Write them down along with the title of the book you found them in. Sentences Write sentences using your 6 words. Practice Test Take a practice test with a buddy. If you missed any words, rewrite them 3 times. Rainbow Words Use crayons, colored pencils or markers to write your words. Make each letter of the word a different color. Spelling City Complete one of the games on Write the name of the activity you chose below. Activity: Stamp It! Stamp the letters to spell out 8 of your words. If you don t have stamps, cut out letters from magazines to spell your words. Trace It! Use your finger to write your words in a dish of sugar, sand or shaving cream! Have fun!
