Decorate with signs and streamers. Hang a banner Calling all Master Builders Guess how many: Fill a large container of Legos. Guess for a prize! Send an reminder Post the event on Facebook Prepare materials ahead of time

2 Paper Lego Figures Construction paper Scissors Google eyes Glue Markers Foam or regular stickers (optional) Cut a paper supply of yellow construction paper Lego people Cut a supply of construction paper shirts, pants, skirts, hats etc. Cut a construction paper supply of accessories: brief cases, hammers, cell phones, brooms, purses, etc. (optional) Time to get creative! Assemble your own unique paper Lego figure Use the markers to add special details Add stickers as additional decorations

5 Master Builder Challenge- Creator Set 4-6 Lego Creator sets Purchase four to six of the same Lego Creator sets: plane, boat, helicopter, etc. Wait for the teacher s go signal Assemble the creator set as fast as you can The child that builds the set the fastest wins!

6 Master Builder Challenge- Let s Create Legos Small paper bags Sort out an identical set of Legos into each bag Grab a bag Use every Lego in the bag to build something Take turns sharing the story behind what you built! It s amazing to see the variations in what the children build using the same bricks.

7 Master Builder Challenge- Tallest Tower Legos Gather a large supply of Legos Try to build the tallest tower without it toppling! Once your tower topples join the cheering section. The child that builds the tallest tower without it toppling wins!

8 Master Builder Challenge- Team Building Legos Gather a large supply of Legos Break the children into teams Choose a broad theme for example cities Work together as a team to build a scene Work together to build parts of the city The skyscrapers, the taxis, the food trucks, etc. Let your imaginations run wild!

9 Lego Marble Run Lego baseplates Legos Marbles Gather materials Create a border around the perimeter of the baseplate Leaving two openings for the start and finish Place Legos on the base of the board in the formation of a maze not pressing them down until you are happy with the formation As you create the pathways be sure you are placing the bricks far enough apart so the marble can easily roll through the pathways Play!

11 Lego Necklaces Supply of flat square Lego pieces String Beads Drill Drill a small hole through every flat square Lego piece Tie a string though each hole creating a necklace String beads onto each side of your necklace Create a pattern with the beads or just randomly string them on Tie the string and wear This creates a very cool Lego necklace!
