1 Year 80 AD s U.S. The genealogy on this page consists of old Nordic legends which evolved into Viking Raiders; they married into royalty in Normandy, conquered England, and by the generation listed and number 44, with Elizabeth Plantagenet, Princess of England, the family fell out of the throne and became progressively less Royal. It has been extended up until modern times. The records in this document were made possible by Jodie Streit, who shared the Fox family genealogy we mutually possess. My own (Dennis Brumm) great great grandfather, Nathaniel Fox, is Jodie's 3rd great grandfather. Nathaniel's genealogy was traced back to William the Conqueror (Guillaume de Normandie), who won the Battle of Hastings in 1066 bringing England under Norman rule; by checking records online I first took Williamk's line back to Eystein the Noisy Glumra, who was born in 810. Genealogists believe that Scandinavian legends that trace back further may be rooted in fact or may be only legends, but for fun more than anything else, I traced Eystein back to Godwulf, who was born in 80 AD. It is said that if one traces back some twenty or thirty generations, virtually everyone is related to each other. Sixty-five generations are traced below; I wouldn't take this page as completely accurate genealogy, but at least as a family group that makes you think of the possibilities! He felt the throne of England should be his but, as he was born out of a liaison between his father, the king, and a servant woman in the royal household, there was some disagreement about his claim. When William died, his servants robbed his valuables and left him untended to for a week. At that point his body was bloated, and when he was forced into a sarcophagus, he didn't fit and his body literally exploded, bring a foul stench down on the land that was without rival. Finally he was buried.
