The daughter of Ferdinand Gregorie ( ) and Anne Palmer Porcher Gregorie ( ), she was born in Savannah, Ga. in In 1929 she received a doctorate in history from the University of South Carolina, and from 1936 to 1941 she was director of the South Carolina Division of the National Historical Records Survey. Dr. Gregorie died in Scope and Content: Papers consist of correspondence, historical research and writings, diaries, speeches, and other items. Included are papers of Maria Louisa Porcher Wayne, Flora Belle Surles, and the Porcher, Palmer, and Gregorie families. Correspondence (ca ) with family members, friends, colleagues, and others concerns personal and family matters, her education, employment, historical research and writings, financial affairs, and other matters.
