2 Conversation SCENE: Two old friends, Danny and Yuri, run into each other at an international exhibition. One introduces a colleague. Danny: Yuri: Danny: Excuse me, miss. (big smile) I believe we ve met. Danny?! It s been ages, Yuri! (friends greet cheek to cheek) Yuri: Danny: Yuri: What a pleasant surprise! I m so happy to see you! Likewise. So, how have you been? Well, I went back to Japan after graduation, and as you can see, I work for Future Apparel Corp. I m a product manager. How about you? What have you been up to? Danny: I never left the States, actually. I ve been in supply chain management since graduation. I m a project manager at ScoCorp now, and one of my prospective clients has a booth at this exhibition. I m paying them a visit.

3 Conversation Yuri: Really? By the way, I d like you to meet the head of our product engineering, Mr. Miura. Mr. Miura, this is Danny Brian, a friend from college. (Danny and Mr. Miura shake hands.) Danny: A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Miura. Mr. Miura: Same here. Actually, I know ScoCorp. It makes computer parts for overseas buyers, right? Danny: Right! I would be happy to tell you more sometime. Mr. Miura: I look forward to it. Well, we have a product demo in 5 minutes. Do you have time, Danny? Danny: Yuri: Of course! I guess this is my lucky day! Great! I m sure our technology will impress you.
