16 Schedule for Qualifying Competition School break during Tuesday and Wednesday of week 8 during which the Qualifying competition is scheduled. Teams need to sign-up for a specific time slot for the qualifying competition as follows: Thursday, 5 th July 12-1pm or 6-7pm Friday, 6 th July 12-1pm; 1-2pm or 2-3pm Signup here: 16 / 25

18 Week 5 Studio Scoring 5 points = 1% grade Expel Thanos Individual Run your machine up to 3 times Sum up the points you score in 5 minutes 1 score per Thanos successfully defeated, so max 3 scores possible Complete DQ (3 times) results in -3 score. Using your home zone (1 track segment) Energy from 2 mouse traps and gravity Comparison to entire class Score points linearly interpolated to individual points between 1 to 5 Score of -3 means 1 individual point Score of +3 means 5 individual points 18 / 25

19 Week 6 Studio Scoring 10 points = 2% grade Expel Thanos and retrieve Gauntlet with shied down Team Run your machine up to 3 times Sum up the points you score in 7 minutes Teleportation Chair will not be operational Full complement of energy sources Comparison to the entire class 3 to 10 possible points using linear interpolation Complete DQ (3 times) results in 0 points 19 / 25

20 Week 7 Studio Scoring 15 points = 3% grade Expel Thanos, collect Gems, discard Rocks and retrieve Gauntlet Run your machine up to 3 times Sum up the points you score in 7 minutes Using complete operational Teleportation Chair Full complement of energy sources Comparison to the entire class 5 to 15 possible points using linear interpolation Complete DQ (3 times) results in 0 points Blocking the competition from accessing the Gauntlet will also result in an automatic DQ. In other words, no part of your machine can go outside of your home universe zone (triangle), when the shield is up. 20 / 25

21 Week 8 Qualifying Competition Scoring 20 points = 4% grade Competition in designated cluster Top system receives 20 points Lowest scoring system receives 10 points All other scores will be linearly interpolated between 10 and 20 points based on ranking Complete DQ (3 times) results in 0 points. Guarantee of at least 3 runs per team Seed for final competition. 21 / 25

23 Scoring (Performance) Everyone runs at least 2 head-to-head competitions 2 winners out of 4 per head-to-head competition Cannot win with zero performance in first 2 rounds Coin toss for 0 or less point ties after round 2 Performance score is given by (maximum of 25).
