The focus in this 3rd book is on the secondary characters and Ms. Brown skillfully developed them to the

3 point that the reader feels like she personally knows them. Benjamin has left the Norse and Indian settlement and moved into an English settlement where he is working "undercover" so to speak, to fulfill his sworn duty to protect the blooded MacMhaolian.I highly recommend this series and can't wait for the next book. This novella is an essential read if you have read the first two books in the Time Walkers series. I would highly recommend you read the series in order. So much of what is reveled in this book is going to surprise and make sense out of questions you may have from the previous books.it starts out with Benjamin and Makedewa returning home after being gone for almost a year. Benjamin is taken prisoner and in an attempt to try and discover what and why Agnarr (his captor) is so interested in Time Walkers he elects to stay with Agnarr instead of being rescued. Jora, being a seer, was the one to alert Agnarr to the fact that Benjamin is a Time Walker. Jora needs Benjamin's help to escape plans Agnarr has for her life. Benjamin wants to use Jora as a means to find out more about Agnarr's plans for the Time Walkers. Neither one trust the other.meanwhile Makedewa returns to the village to give news of the events and to reunite with Rebecca. There are revelations about Makedewa that are guaranteed to surprise you. Their story unfolds and it's not a smooth path.we learn so much more about the Gothi Chieftains, what it means to be a blooded MacMhaolian, and the magic involved.brown is so good a giving insight into the lives of the Powhatan people of the period. In this story as well as in the last book she also includes fascinating customs of the Norse that have been tweaked to fit the story line.a must read for the series. Adult content so be aware. Of Vice and Virtue is book three of the Time Walker series.i very much enjoyed this installment of the story. I like how we got into the heads of more characters on a more equal basis, hearing more from Makedewa, Benjamin, Rebecca, and new arrival Jora.I like the direction the story is moving in, and the growth of the characters. Makedewa is coming to see there is more to life than his hatred, and Benjamin is struggling to come to grips with the 'sins' of his mistakes. Rebecca has blossomed into a strong, wise young woman who is learning about life's pleasures as well as its pain and plain survival. Jora...she is a complicated character, and I look forward to learning more about her motives and history. Can Benjamin really trust her?e.b. Brown continues to spin a spectacular tale, set in this intriguing world of the Time Walkers. Given the teaser at the end for the next installment, I can't wait to read "A Tale of Oak and Mistletoe."

4 This novella was a wonderful bridge to the final book in the series. It was fun to learn more about several of my favorite characters in the Time Walkers series and spend some more time in the world that E. B. Brown has created. There were a few editing issues that pulled me out of the story, but the characters and descriptive power of the writer (not to mention the steamy romance) quickly pulled me back in. Looking forward to the next book in the series!! The characters, in this 3rd book of the series, took such different directions than I expected. It kept me completely enthralled, and I couldn't put it down. I read it in one day and started the on the 4th, because I needed to see what would happen next. I bounce between being happy, sad and frightened for the characters. Though we think of that period as simpler times, I don't think we truly realize how difficult they were until we read something like this. This has been an eye opening series, and I am very impressed with E. B. Brown's knowledge of the era. Thank you for another wonderful read. I'm a sucker for a good love story and E.B. Brown does a great job with making you fall in love with the characters! The story picks up close to where book two leaves off, but it's a bit of a tease by really just touching the surface of new story lines. Good read but it was a bit short, felt like it was missing something. Still worth the read! `Of Vice and Virtue', the third book in E.B. Brown's Time Walkers saga, has the author bringing her supporting cast to the forefront for a quick side adventure that expands the rich world she has created. The story focuses around Benjamin and his exodus to an English settlement where he finds a new threat to the Time Walkers. Readers are also enticed with new and renewed romances that Ms. Brown finely tunes to pluck the heart strings of her readers in both erotic and heart-breaking moments as the supporting cast becomes more fully realized.the character of Benjamin becomes a fan favorite as the flawed and tragic character trying to find his way and do what's right to protect the Blooded MacMhaolian. I found myself really enjoying how well the character of Benjamin is evolving and look forward to seeing where his current and dangerous path takes him.the author also takes pride in authentically recreating the traditions of early Native American tribes and Norse clans. The details in one Nordic ceremony vividly bring those traditions to life in such a way that the reader will feel as if he is actually attending the ceremony.ms. Brown's writing flows at a good pace making ` Of Vice and Virtue' a quick easy read for her fans. She has the skill to pull her readers into the story and make them really feel for her characters and the

5 adventures they share.the thing I like most about each of Time Walker books is that by the time you are finished you feel like you have been to this fascinating and magical world; a feeling that leaves you yearning to return while you wait anxiously for the next book.`of Vice and Virtue' is a fine edition to the series and rounds out a supporting cast that I think will have key roles in the saga's finale.
