WOW, did I love the work and wished I could have been there. This book is the next best thing. Sue doesn't

3 waste time and try our patience by writing long paragraphs about the materials as though we are neophytes who just woke up yesterday not knowing what a paintbrush does. She jumps right in with fabulous ideas and techniques and examples that get you excited about the possibilities. Better yet, she does not present only art that someone with exceptional skill and long years of practice can achieve. These pieces are do-able by anyone and the results are fun and fantastic!i have only read halfway through this book and already completed two pieces; just couldn't wait! Thanks so much for the inspiration, Sue. I hope to take a class with you in "real life" soon. This book will appeal to everyone! The art teacher will be inspired. The "at home mom/dad" will find great projects to fit all ages. The beginning artist and the seasoned artist will find projects that inspire, challenge and thrill them. And, anyone who ever longed to try an art project but was afraid to do it, BUY THIS BOOK AS YOU WILL GET HOOKED ON THE PROJECTS AND FALL IN LOVE WITH ART! The author has a gift for easy to follow directions leading to a stellar result! There is a material list, a great introduction, awesome, hand drawn pictures and it is truly a really "fun read". You feel like the author is talking to you, personally, and by the way, she likes you! This is my first review for any product, yet I always read the reviews and buy accordingly. You buy this book and you will fall in love with it. Pure and simply, it is awesome... yes it is! FIVE STARS TIMES INFINITY!!!!!!! What a great book filled with detailed process and technique ideas for making awesome art. Sue will empower you to be playful, creative and successful in making whimsical mixed media pieces. The step outs are so clear and concise and her commentary and writing is very heartwarming. So proud of my art BFF and her wonderful acheivement in this beautiful book. Fun ideas using innovative products in some cases ( liquid nails for instance), low cost products, and loads of fun! Ideas abound and how to steps make senses. Product lists are excellent. Making stuff is fun and Sue Pelletier's book and video ( check it out) are great additions to a crafter's library and idea departments. These ideas are great for adults and children. Great read and super photos. Sue Pelletier is her own wonderful phenomenon. Such a great teacher! And I was delighted to find she had shared so many techniques. This book is a fantastic addition to anyone's mixed media library.

4 It seems that a lot of the techniques relied on various types of "pastes" (art media) and less on drawing and a variety of collage options. However, the images on my Kindle reader (I use a large format smartphone) were teeny tiny and no doubt that influences my opinion. Not only did I get the kindle version of Sue's book, I bought the hard copy also... Love, love her work... One warning, you will get paint on your hands!!! Great fun art projects are ahead for me... ðÿ ŠðŸ Š I may never produce a painting just like Sue Pelletier but when I need to jump out of my rut and explore a different space Sue Pelletier is rocket fuel.
