October 24, 2018 Animal Packed Adventure Join us as we head to the Endangered Wolf Center where we will take a guided tour to see Mexican wolves, red wolves and other wild candid species. We will then head to Joe Boccardi s Ristorante to enjoy lunch followed by a self guided tour at the World Bird Sanctuary. November 13, 2018 Mystery Lunch Join us as we head to the Bissell Mansion Restaurant and Murder Mystery for a fun afternoon of suspense. Since the audience participates in the show, everyone receives an identity when they arrive. This lunch includes a three-course meal and a full show. December 12, 2018 Missouri Botanical Gardens Join us as we head to Missouri Botanical Gardens for their annual Garden Glow event. The Garden Glow features one million lights surrounding visitors with a spectacle of unique installations among some of the Garden s most iconic locations. Enjoy interactive photo opportunities, traditional holiday music and festivities, delicious food and drinks, and more as the garden is transformed around you into a winter wonderland. Advanced registration is required. Transportation, admission, and lunch or dinner is included. Prices and times vary between trips. Keep an eye out as our 2019 trips become available in early winter.

Her classes offer individualized and class instruction on techniques, brush strokes, color methods and more! Classes are taught at the Meadows Shopping Center.

Join our instructor, Sharon Olson, as she incorporates poses and stretches from yoga and Pilates to increase strength, flexibility and body/ mind awareness.

The City of Lake Saint Louis Parks and Recreation Department bring you a recreational spring softball and baseball league. Lake Saint Louis is a part of the New Horizons Youth Baseball League (NHYBL). This league consists of Wentzville, New Melle, Dardenne Prairie, and Wright City. Leagues start with T-ball and end with 15U. Registration opens mid- December. Father-Daughter Dance Make the sweetest memories with a Valentine themed Father Daughter Dance. This event is designed for Dads with daughters ages 3 to 10 years old. This special night is complete with dinner and dessert, a live D.J., balloon artist, and a complementary photograph. Registration for this event is limited and will open in early December.

10 Garage Sale Tips Buyers Make a list of items you know you want to look for. To minimize drive time, locate sales you are interested in on a map to find the fastest and most efficient route. Keep a list of sizes that you need. Bring Antibacterial wipes. You ll be shuffling through other peoples items. Get some cash! Plan ahead and bring small bills and change. Don t use a bill larger than a $20 for a $1 purchase. Open board games or puzzles to make sure all of the pieces are included. When buying electrically powered items, ask to plug them in before purchasing. Make sure the item works! Don t be afraid to haggle. Be reasonable and respectful. Sellers Do be sure to have plenty of small bills and change. Group like items together. Display small and valuable items near the checkout. Keep breakables out of children s reach helps to avoid an awkward situation. Place showy or large items near street to attract buyers. If you are selling electronics, tools, or appliances-please have an extension cord ready in case you are asked if the item works.

19 EMERALD ASH BORER Officials from two state agencies have confirmed the presence of an insect in Lake Saint Louis that has the capacity to kill all ash trees in its path. Urban foresters from Missouri Department of Conservation and entomologists with the Missouri Department of Agriculture agree that the Emerald Ash Borer, better known as EAB, has been found in Lake Saint Louis. This discovery was made by a landowner that notified authorities after learning about the destructive borer and noticing damage to his ash trees EAB is an invasive wood boring pest that kills all types of ash trees. It only affects ash and is not a threat to any other type of tree. Unfortunately ash trees were a popular landscape species and were planted for many years throughout the region. Skip Kincaid, the City's Arborist says, "The City is well equipped to handle this report of EAB in the area. It has been preparing for this for some time." Homeowners will be faced with the dilemma of what to do with their ash trees. Homeowners are encouraged to inspect their property to see if ash trees exist and to learn more about treatment options.
