2 To Benefit Camp Sylvan JANUARY 26, BADGE SWAP AND SILENT AUCTION 9:00-NOON LIVE AUCTION BEGINS 1:00 PM AUCTION RULES AND CONDITIONS: Please Note: Some items may be very old and fragile. Care must be taken when viewing the items. Scouts Canada reserves the right to withdraw any items if minimum bids are not forthcoming. Unclaimed or defaulted items will be held for a future auction. SILENT AUCTION: The bidding sheet in front of each item will indicate the item number and a brief description. To make a bid, enter your name and bidding number, see Auction staff to receive a number) and the amount bid (in even dollars) on the bidding sheet. The highest bidder at the close of the auction shall be the purchaser. If any dispute arises, the Auctioneer's decision is final. LIVE AUCTION: Sale of live auction items is complete when announced by the Auctioneer. Bids may not be retracted after that time. Bid numbers must be given to the Auctioneer. Advance Bids will be permitted if received in writing to wendyanddave@rogers.com prior to 10:00pm Friday January 25, Arrangements for payment and item pickup must also be arranged at the time of placing an advance bid. Items with reserve or advance bids will be announced at the start of each auction. The Auctioneer will announce when bidding exceeds the advance, In case of equal bids, the auction will be awarded to the live bidder. Should an advance bid be the highest, the winning amount will be $1.00 above the maximum live bid. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges, credits or refunds. All items are sold as is. Auction items will be available for preview before and during the auction. A list of items available will be distributed prior to January 15 th, Payment for items may be made in cash or cheque the day of the auction and all items purchased must be removed by the premises by 4:00pm the day of the Auction.
