1 8. Multi-Branch The badges and insignia listed in this section are those that could be worn by more than one section of girl members and sometimes by adult members as well. There are seven distinct groupings: 1. Canada Flashes and Title Tapes 2. Challenges (to be added) 3. Commemorative badges and pins 4. Provincial Hat badges 5. Religion in Life badges 6. Service Stars These badges and pins were worn by more than one level or branch of Guiding. Some were worn for a specific occasion or event, while others were worn for a limited time of months or years to support an initiative like the WAGGGS Peace Patch. s indicated a specialized branch of Guiding such as Lones or a Kindred Society such as the Salvation Army and the Women s Catholic League. The only items that were not worn on the uniform were the Diversity pin and the Friendship pin and patch.

Originally Adults wore a 3 inch wide black band on their left arm above the elbow; Brownies, Guides and Rangers wore a 2 inch wide black band. In the POR (1944) Brownies were to wear a 1 inch wide band. As of 1953, only Adults wore a band that was 2 inches wide. National Service Armband 1.
