5 Installation Instructions Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, servicer or the gas supplier Be sure your appliance is properly installed and grounded by a QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN in accordance with the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.1-latest edition in the United States, or in Canada CAN/CGA B149.1, and CAN/CGA B149.2, and the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA No. 70-latest edition in United States, or in Canada CSA Standard C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1, and local code requirements. Install only as per installation instructions provided in the literature package for this cooktop. Ventilation Recommendations: The cooktop must be used in conjunction with a suitable ventilation system. Electrical Requirements: This appliance requires a 60 Hz, 15 Amp, 120 VAC connection. 4

8 Installation Instructions (Continuation) Check supply line connections for leaks using a soap solution. Do not use a flame of any type. 1. Turn on gas. 2. Apply a non-corrosive leak detection fluid to all joints and fittings in the gas connection between the shut-off valve and the range. Include gas fittings and joints in the range if connections may have been disturbed during installation. Bubbles appearing around fittings and connections indicate a leak. 3. If a leak appears, turn off supply line gas shut-off valve and tighten connections. 4. Retest for leaks by turning on the supply line gas shutoff valve. When leak check is complete (no bubbles appear), test is complete. 5. Wipe off all detection fluid residues. Lighting Burners Know which knob controls which surface burner. Visually check that the burner has lit. Then adjust the flame so it does not extend beyond the edge of the utensil. 1. To light a burner, press the knob of the burner fully down and turn it counterclockwise. 2. After lighting the flame, keep the knob pressed down for about 3 to 6 seconds. This is necessary to heat up the thermocouple and activate (open) the safety valve, to keep the burner on. If the thermocouple is not heated, the safety valve will cut the flow of gas and the burner will not stay lit. 3. Then adjust the flame as needed for efficient and proper use. 4. To turn off the flame, turn the control knob completely clockwise. 7

9 General Care & Cleaning Clean the appliance regularly to keep all parts free of grease that could catch fire. Exhaust fan ventilation hoods and grease filters should be kept clean. Do not allow grease to accumulate on hood or filter. Greasy deposits in the fan could catch fire. When cooking food turn the hood fan on. Refer to hood manufacturer s instructions for cleaning. DO NOT use a cooktop cleaner on a hot cooktop. The fumes can be hazardous to your health. Do not use commercial oven cleaners on any part of the cooktop. Damage to the finish or parts could result. Care and Cleaning of Stainless Steel Special care and cleaning is required for maintaining the appearance of stainless parts. Clean with hot soapy water and a dishcloth. Rinse with clean water and cloth. Do not use cleaners with high concentrations of chlorides or chlorines. Do not use harsh scrubbing cleaners. Only use kitchen cleaners that are especially made for cleaning stainless steel. Always be sure to rinse the cleaners off from the surface as bluish stains may occur during heating that cannot be removed. 8

10 ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY Heaven Sent LLC. (HS) provides a one year limited warranty from the date of purchase when this appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached or furnished with this product. HS will pay for factory service and specified parts. This limited warranty is valid only in the United States or Canada and applies only when the major appliance is used in the country in which it was purchased. This warranty does not apply outside of the United States and Canada. Dated proof of original purchase is required to obtain service under this limited warranty. This limited warranty does not cover: ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY Service calls to correct the installation of your major appliance, to instruct you on how to use your major appliance, to replace or repair house fuses, or to correct house wiring or plumbing. Service calls to repair or replace any parts. Consumable parts are excluded from warranty coverage. Repairs when your major appliance is used for other than normal, single-family household use or when it is used in a manner that is contrary to published user or operator instructions and/or installation instructions. Major appliances with original model/serial numbers that have been removed, altered or cannot be easily determined. This warranty is void if the factory applied serial number has been altered or removed from your major appliance. The cost of repair or replacement under these excluded circumstances shall be borne by the customer.
