8 Note 9: Slam bidding 4NT is a question for the 4 Aces and the King of trumps (=5 keycards). The responses are the following: 5 1 or or or 5 without the trump Queen 5 2 or 5 with the trump Queen After a 5 or 5 bid, the 4NT bidder can bid the cheapest non-trump suit to ask for the trump Queen. The responses are then: Bidding the trump suit = No trump Queen 5NT = Trump Queen but no outside Kings Any non-trump suit = The trump Queen and the King of the suit bid.
