4 AKENDICATOR S SETUP AKENDICATOR.ex4 setup is the same like every other Metatrader indicator: right clicking your mouse and copy it; than open this folder: C:/Program Files>Metatrader>MQL4>Indicators And paste it. Then run Metatrader. Open Navigator and drag AKENDICATOR.ex4 on every opened graph. Set it as shown at Settings page of this tutorial. Every time you restart Metatrader, we suggest you to refresh every graph page, so that AKENDICATOR will always be active; and (or) load a possible template you created. Refresh button 4

5 AKENDICATOR S SYMBOLS In the picture below you may see AKENDICATOR in action: When activated by the algorithm, AKENDICATOR produces essentially two types of symbols in sequence: 1- Alert symbol, represented by a red or green circle 5

6 This first symbol coincides with the only warning you see or hear on your display; this alert might be sent by mail or smartphone too. 2- Operating symbol, represented by a red arrow (downwards) or green (upwards) Between the first and second signal, you have 5 minutes to watch carefully the trend of the so called candle confirmation. The circles appear first and always when the japanese candles close The arrows appear only after the confirmation of the previous candle and when next candle is opening. Therefore the exact sequence is: 1- Appearance of the circle above a candle at the end of five minutes. 2- Next candle confirm or not previous signal. 3- If previous signal is confirmed, immediately, when next candle opens, arrow appears. 4- When arrow appears, it s essential to act, selling or buying the binary option. The timing of this action is crucial if you get a hit. Thus, all the times that a circle appears above or below a candle you have 5 minutes to observe the course of next candle; it therefore has a good margin of time to get ready to go into action, if necessary. 6

7 Here below, the 4 possible scenarios you may see in your graphs when AKENDICATOR is active: 1 st Red circle above a green candle If next candle is red, nothing happens. 1- Akendicator s alert signal 2- Observation of the event (5 minutes) 3- No trading signal When this green candle closes, a red circle appears above it After 5 minutes, this candle closes red... all remains the same So no arrow appears when this candle opens and you don t receive any operating symbol 7

11 Remember that AKENDICATOR.ex4 is a NON REPAINT indicator : every time symbols remain permanently for 2 hours on the screen, then they automatically disappear. Sometimes happens that symbols appear for a few tenths of a second and then disappear; this is due to the overlapping of settings that everyone does on their Metatrader. In this case, you must only take account of the symbols that remain on the graph. HOW TO THWART A FAILURE ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT In many cases, AKENDICATOR expects a successful outcome of trading on the first attempt; unfortunately, Forex is not an strict science, otherwise we would all be rich and we would need neither indicators nor expert advisors and robots: it s natural we should expect even small failures. In such situations, every trader takes a personal strategy to limit the damage or even gain. We strongly suggest to stop at the first failure because AKENDICATOR has a great percentage of success and in a short time you may regain the loss. Watch this table: Arrow % winnings 1 57, ,46 3 9,02 4 5,34 5 2,58 >5 1,48 In mathematical terms, when the first arrow appears, the percentage of success is 57,12%; at the second arrow (when the first attempt failed), the percentage rises to 81,58% (57,12+24,46); and at the third arrow the success is 90,6% (57,12+24,46+9,02). These data are the result of one year of test carried out on 15 currency pairs (EUR/USD EUR/GBP EUR/JPY EUR/AUD USD/CHF USD/JPY USD/CAD USD/NOK GBP/USD GBP/JPY NZD/USD AUD/USD AUD/JPY AUD/NZD CAD/CHF) 11

12 On average, brokers pay binary options on 5 minutes, with 70% of your bet. So, when the first arrow appears on the screen, suppose to pay 5$ and if you win, you gain 3,5$. But, if the first bet fails, you have two roads to go: 1. Stop the trade (as we advise you); you lose only 5$. 2. Keep on: so you must pay more than the first bet, to cover the previous loss. The amount will be 15$; if you win, you ll gain 5,5$ net. However, if you lose again, you build up a loss of 20$. In the 1 st instance, you may recover 5$ after 1,42 (5/3,5) winning trades. For the 2 nd option, instead, it takes 5,71 (20/3,5) winning trades to recover the previous loss. Obviously we do not take any responsibility for any failures of the system, because there is no certainty about the outcome of the market trend 12

13 REALTIME VS BACKTESTING Before buying, we recommend you evaluate and test AKENDICATOR exclusively in real time and not with the classic backtest (simulated test in the past). This is because this indicator analyzes all data carefully, moment by moment and then put it at once in comparison with other data that have occurred previously on the charts. The actual data may not be the same of the past. Unfortunately it happens that trader prefer to judge a new indicator from the outcome of the backtest, without taking into account that in most cases, the results obtained are entirely or almost entirely incorrect due to technical factors that don t correspond to reality. As evidence of this recommendation, please record in real time the evolution of an ordinary day with AKENDICATOR and put it in comparison with a backtest of the same day. The data may not coincide, so it could happen that in backtest AKENDICATOR results bankruptcy while in real time is a winner. And, since every trader uses the money in real time, it is obvious that it s better to rely on real data which in notentirely correct temporal reconstructions. 14 EVERY BROKER S GAP Now let s see how every broker work on trading platforms: binary options live on an OTC (Over The Counter) market, where contracts are not standardized, contrary to what happens in the Stock Market; they are a product of the individual broker, therefore the quotes of a Japanese candle itself are almost always different, even if only slightly. So sometimes happens that AKENDICATOR s signals appear on a chart used by the broker X and at the same time, you did not find traces on the graph used by the broker Y. Here s an example: Same period (the time difference you see on the graph is due to the variation of UTC: every broker show its own time; so in our picture we compared the same exact time) same graph, same currency pair (NZD/USD); on the left side, the Australian broker Core Liquidity Markets with its own pips near candles and on the right, the Londoner broker LCG. These small differences may be very important for AKENDICATOR s reactivity. In the picture 14

15 above, you can notice the lack of signals on the left, while on the right, you can count 3 red circles, 2 green circles and 3 red arrows. The difference is the distinct pip count among brokers: looking at the chart on the left, the first red circle is above the candle with value 8.30 while on the left the same candle is 8,10; the small difference of 0,20 pips was enough to activate AKENDICATOR on LCG (with 2 winnings) and to do nothing on CLM graph. But there are also many cases where AKENDICATOR gives similar results with different brokers as in the following example: NB: in these examples, the value in pips refers to the values of closing and opening ( O / C ) of the candle and not of the minimum and maximum In this manual, when we speak about PIP, we don t mean its classic definition, namely the 4th decimal place (the 2nd for Yen-JPG) but an our own reference value which is used for all our indicators. 15

It means that, this time, the value differences didn t compromise AKENDICATOR s signals. 17 ONE METATRADER PLATFORM FOR ONE BROKER ONLY! To avoid unpleasant data overlays and false signals, we suggest you to trade with only one broker on any Metatrader terminal. This is because each broker manages a single platform with different timing and different heights; each broker uses server that run in a different way from each other. Brokers have different timing, different quote digits (some 4 digits and some 5 digits) and most especially they don t all move price at the exact same time. These factors make it difficult, if not impossible for AKENDICATOR work on a single platform where coexist multiple accounts of different brokers. The visual result would be disastrous like a series of infinite circles followed by improbable arrows. In summary, you cannot trade more than one broker accounts in a single MT4 terminal, because every broker has separate MT4 terminal. Very Important Note: AKENDICATOR is not compatible with 4-digits brokers 17

18 SPECIAL SITUATIONS Sometimes happens to see graph like this: Look at the first candle on the left, the algorithm look at how many pips the candle closes and order immediately to AKENDICATOR to draw a red circle. Next candle is bearish, so nothing happens but at the same time, (18.20 pips) it gives another alert and a green circle appears below it. Next one closes bearish so that AKENDICATOR show its red arrow at the open of the next candle: in this moment you buy an option and...you win...and another red circle appears because the algorithm knows that pips is enough to alert again. This is the reason why you may find a circle and an arrow, below and above the same candle. 18

Another special situation: Arrow appeared when previous candle closed at 6.60. Then red candle closed at 9.30 and the white circle appeared.

You note that circle and arrow belong to the same candle (even if they appeared at different times). Yellow arrow predicted successfully the candle would close bearish. And it could be plausible that the strenght of the same arrow has produced the white circle; in such a case, it s better not to consider this symbol at all, because it should be a false signal. 19

After copying AKENDICATOR.ex4 in your Indicators folder, inside the Metatrader program, you may load it over your graphs and setting it as you like. Let's see it.

SETTINGS As usual, you may choose between True and False: True activates alerts or strings and False inhibits them. So, it's easy to understand what to do: Alerts: if you set False, you inhibit all alerts. True: you activate them all. Early Alerts: if False, you may see circles on the graph but no alert. Alerts: after configure your settings on Metatrader, with True, you may receive alerts on your mail address. Mobile Alerts: after configure your mobile settings on Metatrader, with True, you may receive alerts on your smartphone. Alert Once per Candle: when a candle achieves AKENDICATOR level it generate an alert. But sometimes, during 5 minutes, this level may reached many times so the alert appears many times. With True this problem may be bypassed: infact the alert can sound once during 5 minutes. Display_Settings: it s possible to set the exact coordinates where to show the Candle Power message on your graphs; x_coard set it horizontally and y_coard set it vertically. Only if the following display has the True option. 20

21 font_size: to set the preferred size of the font you chose. font_name: you can write the name of the font you wish. The fonts you may use are the same you ve installed in folder fonts of your computer OS. text_color: here you may choose the color of Candle Power screen message. candles_back: you may select it as you like. It let you see arrows and circles of the period you chose: (e.g in a 5 minutes Timeframe, for a value of 48, you can see Akendicator s symbols of the previous 4 hours but pay attention: this is not the right way to backtest this indicator: symbols refer to Candle Power and Candle Power is the current value, not the value of the past. This value is simply an aid to see how Akendicator worked, on the sole condition that Candle Power value remained the same during the selected period. loosing signals: you may see as many consecutive arrows as the number you set. But we noticed that the maximum number of consecutive arrows has always been 5, not more. signal size: it's the size of graphic symbols (circles and arrows); the higher it is the better you see them. We suggest 4. signal_pips_distance: is the distance from signals to their candle to get a better view of the symbols. We suggest

23 ALERTS When AKENDICATOR springs into action, you will be alerted with a message on your Metatrader graph. (eventually even on your smartphone or on your mail) 23

24 CANDLE POWER Here we come to the great innovation of version 6.1 We decide to add this item, always visible to the user, to fill the obvious indicator s blackout in certain moment of the day when we have low market movement on Metatrader graphs; in the previous versions, when AKENDICATOR could not reach the threshold of the algorithm, it didn t create any signal or symbol: so users became anxious and they obviously doubted about the effectiveness of this indicator. Therefore we decided to publish and disclose the algorithm s value; when AKENDICATOR reaches or exceeds this value (named Candle Power) it springs into action. Candle Power (from now on named CP) is the lenght of the candle, measured by AkenCandle and it s the reference point for AKENDICATOR to be activated. This value is the lenght from the Opening to the Closing (not from Minimum to Maximum) that a candle reaches during its 5 minutes. Every bearish or bullish Circle appears when a closing candle reaches or excedds the CP value. In Setting Tab, if you activated False in OnceperCandle, every time a candle exceeds the CP, you will see an alert; but if you set True, the alert sound only one time during the 5 24

25 minutes. At last, we remind that if a candle exceeds the CP but closes less than it, no circle will be generated. 25

26 BEST TIME TO TRADE It s useful to know that AKENDICATOR does not offer signals every 5-10 minutes, as the majority of intraday traders would want but few signals and absolutely precise, especially on certain times of the day. AKENDICATOR, by its very nature, is positively affected by the periods in which volatility and trading volumes are high and in those situations you might see most of its signals. So, let's find out what are the best times to trade with our valuable indicators for binary options. First of all, in order to universally standardize the time, we have to consider GMT and UTC, acronyms of Greenwich Mean Time and Universal Time Coordinated; they represent the standard clock-hour for all the inhabitants of our planet wherever they are. We therefore refer to Greenwich, an area near London, crossed by the famous meridian, from which the so-called time-zones start. The UTC is almost similar, with some differences for which it is not our intention to dwell. For clarity s sake, we want you to see the table below, which described the most important world s stock exchange hours activities in winter and in summer timings. 26

Therefore, the best trading hours are between 7 and 8am and between 12am and 4pm (GMT/UTC) but we must not discard other times when AKENDICATOR could produce other important signals. It s also statistically proven that the best days in which our indicators give the highest number of signals are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In order to translate GMT times with the local time where you are trading, we recommend consulting a very interesting site under the table, you can set the coordinates of the place where you are and get the 27

28 appropriate times, without complicated calculations of time zones. Below, as example, we show you the same time in London and in New York, according to their local time. 28

29 Another personal advice is to stop trading 10 minutes after the opening (and up to 20 minutes after) of the major world stock exchanges and during important communications of the Presidents of the major World Bank (ECB, Fed, RBA ) and in conjunction with 3 Bulls Macroeconomic News. 29
