3 3 NEW WORKS. DISCOVER OUR COLLECTION NEW WORKS presents a collection at the intersection between old and new. Light and dark. Design and art. Our work pays homage to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and materiality, whilst challenging the contemporary forms of today. We collaborate with an international group of renowned designers and artists, who display a matching fascination with sculptural forms and honest materials. These collaborative pursuits convey our love of the sensual, and of the bold. Follow our story. We are NEW WORKS..

4 Scaling Sophistication: New Works at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2018 From it s beginning in 2015, New Works has presented pieces that intersect design and art. Sculptural objects grounded in four core values: Natural, Experimental, Rough and Craftsmanship. Under the vision of Creative Director Knut Bendik Humlevik, the Copenhagen based design house has transported these same values from a range of experimental lighting and accessories into larger scale releases including the Covent Chair and Florence Table. Continuing to explore these same concepts within a larger scale, 2018 sees the release of their largest and most ambitious product range to date; the Mass series by Chinese studio Lim + Lu. Merging the Scandinavian heritage of honest materiality and craftsmanship with a contemporary sculptural approach to interior living, the Mass series presents pieces grounded by refined lines and an honest palate of materials. Made up of 16 unique pieces that can be configured in endless variations, the Mass series is tailored to the variety of contemporary life. From standalone daybeds, ottomans and armchairs, to modular lounge units Mass is brought together by simplicity in form that exudes sophistication. Further establishing New Works as a brand pushing sculptural forms whilst maintaining a elegance across their collection, both existing and new pieces will be shown in a range of neutral and tonal colourways. This includes a range of new finishes for popular product lines including the Covent Chair, Florence Table, Aura Mirror and Bowl Table Lamp: while the iconic Kizu Table Lamp and Lantern Pendant will see an extension to their respective product ranges. New Works 2018 presentation further strengthens their commitment to pieces that weave sensual lines and bold forms through honest materials and fine craftsmanship.

6 Mass Series Lim + Lu With an elegance that belies its scale, the Mass modular seating series presents a new language for contemporary living. Mixing a strong connection to Scandinavian materiality and craftsmanship with a modern approach to functionality, the series caters for a range of environments and activities; while exuding sophistication through each tailored line. Designed by Chinese studio Lim + Lu, the Mass series is made up of 16 components. From stand-alone pieces including daybeds, armchairs and ottomans, to a comprehensive range of modular seating units. A sculptural simplicity and honest palate of materials brings such a large family together through a shared refinement. The scale of the Mass series can be softened through a natural ash finish to frame each component, or be swapped for a striking black lacquered ash base. Couple these with a range of Kvadrat fabrics from the New Works selection and each piece presents a tactility and warmth that compliments the bold scale of the series. A cast of sculptural companions that can grow and change, as do you. Materials Base in natural or black stained ash veneer with upholstery in selected fabric or/and leather.

Inspired by traditional Chinese rice paper lanterns, their frosted glass forms replicate that weightless glow. Firmly keeping this sculptural shape centre stage, a simple black steel base raises up its warm glow. Materials Shade in frosted opal glass and base in casted iron with pole and fitting in black powder coated steel. 9 9 Kizu Table Lamp Lars Tornøe The iconic Kizu Table Lamp expands its weightless balancing act with the addition of a little sibling and a new finish. For those intimate spaces, the new Kizu Small Table Lamp provides the perfect measure of sculptural form and soft illumination. While the addition of a black marble base to the whole family further highlights the kissing point between bold form and floating radiance. 10 Bowl Table Lamp Knut Bendik Humlevik New finishes to the inviting form on the Bowl Table Lamp sees its aesthetic move into a more contemporary setting. Now available with a stainless steel base and light smoked glass shade, its simple yet alluring form has been brought to the fore. 11 11 Aura Table Mirror Bjørn van den Berg The bold materiality of the Aura Mirror has been expanded with the addition of copper and brass editions. Just like the original, its polished form picks up surrounding light, creating diverse reflections through a combination of hard flat surfaces and long curves. The warmth of copper and brass add warmth to a sculptural piece that demands to be touched and held. Materials PVD coated stainless steel with iron weight inside Dimensions H: 90 x Ø: 127 mm

Now available in a 145cm ø version, it has even more room to focus on the contents of living. With the addition of wood veneer and marble table top options - as well as glass, Florence s sleek frame still provides that same visual lightness and beautiful simplicity of the original. 13 13 Covent Chair in Sørensen Leather ARDE The Covent Chair extends its comforting simplicity with the introduction of leather upholstery by Sørensen Leather. Available in a range of delicate leather finishes, Covent presents an elegant cocoon sitting atop an asymmetrical steel frame. The perfect warm embrace for an evening around the dinner table or curled up with a book. Materials Powder coated steel frame with seat and back in cold moulded foam and plywood.
