2 Designer 1 2 The dynamic collaboration between Schiavello and Doshi Levien sparks on a singular cause; to explore the needs and opportunities for empowering individuals and groups of people to work in alternative spaces of a workplace. Doshi Levien duo Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien, undertook an in-depth research program to inform their design process, converting the abstract into the practical and making educated and intelligent design solutions for products that would enhance working away from the traditional desk space. Based on this research, Doshi Levien envisaged a new working environment that lies between a café and office, something spatially inspiring like a gallery with the social informality and buzz of a café with high-speed connectivity. Personable and inviting, the table are a collection of products that blur the lines between a resident space and anywhere spaces.

Introducing a sense of community and collaboration in the workspace, Parley s name means to converse, discuss or confer. A comfortable place which encourages easy communication and positive thinking through form and materiality of textures, Parley features softly rounded work surfaces and the warmth of solid oak timber legs.

6 Introduction 9 10 Eat, share & learn Suitable for dining and meeting environments, the table top is available in three shapes: round, square and rectangle and is finished in either a white MDF powder coat or a black and natural veneer with sharknose edge detail. Depending on the size and top finish you choose, a table can work at home or in the office as a table in an informal meeting area, break out or lounge space.

7 Introduction Combining warmth & strength Unique to the table is the floor to table top cable management. Using no mesh, the cables are held by c-shaped clips which can be used as single sided or back to back to have double cable reticulation from the floor to the table. The table is also available without cable management, making it an attractive furniture option for cafés and meal zones. Combining the warmth of wood with the strength of steel, the table legs, top and understructure can be perfectly harmonised

9 Introduction Bridge the gap Goodwood table bridges the gap between a café and office, giving rise to warm, inviting spaces to share ideas, gather or simply relax. Reflective of the racetrack, Goodwood has no straight lines in the tabletop and the domed legs prance off the ground. The two heights of the two shapes have been designed to allow tops to overlap when used together. The oak edges and the glass tabletop lend an aura of elegance and bring pleasure with an appealing tactile quality.

10 Introduction All in the details With its curved, low profile, Goodwood sits neatly in front of an inviting sofa or in the middle of a chair grouping. With the choice between a top in toughened glass and powder coated or painted MDF on an oak frame, it sets a contemporary stage for displaying magazines, fresh flowers, or a special book in a living room, waiting or reception area.

The legs of the Parley are made from solid American oak, in either a natural or black finish, and are connected to a frame of steel which is finished in brown, white, grey or black powder coat. 14 Finishes Goodwood Finishes Table Tops The Goodwood table is available in three different variations; table top in toughened glass and frame in American Oak, MDF table top and frame in painted finish, and table top in MDF powder coat and frame in American Oak. The legs of the Goodwood are made of powder coated steel, and are connected to an American oak or MDF frame which is finished in natural clear or painted finish to match the table top.
