1 BANKERSWAY.COM Page 1 10 High Level Puzzles set 2 BANKERSWAY.COM Puzzle 1: Seven friends, namely A, B, C, D, E, F and G like different Companies laptops, Lenovo, Dell, HP, Apple, Sony, Asus and Acer, but not necessarily in the same order. Each friend also has a presentation on topics of different subjects, namely Civics, History, English, Geography, Chemistry, Physics and Biology but not necessarily in the same order. F has a presentation on Civics and likes neither HP nor Apple. The one who likes Lenovo has a presentation on History. A likes Dell and has a presentation neither on Geography nor on Chemistry. The one who likes Acer has a presentation on Biology. B has a presentation on Physics and does not like Apple. The one who likes Apple does not have a presentation on Chemistry. D likes Sony. G does not have a presentation on History and does not like Apple. E does not like Apple.

2 Puzzle 2: Eight People Aarti, Gita, Sakshi, Divya, Manisha, Anjali, Lata and Mona live in eight different floors of building (but not necessarily in the same order). The lowermost floor of the building is numbered one, the one above that is numbered two, and so on till the topmost floor is numbered eight. Each one of them likes a different colors which are - Pink, Red, Green, Yellow, Brown, Orange, Black and Blue (but not necessarily in the same order. Anjali lives an odd numbered floor above the floor numbered four. Only one person lives between Anjaliand the one who likes Green. Only three people live between Divya and the one who likes Orange color. Sakshi lives at one of the odd numbered floors above the one who likes Oange. Only two people live between Sakshi and the one who likes Pink color. The one who likes Black colour lives immediately above Lata. Lata likes neither Orange nor Pink color. The number of people living above Anjali is same as the number of people living between Anjali and Divya. Manisha does not like Black color. Only three people live between Lata and Aarti. The one who likes Blue color lives immediately above the one who likes Red color, but not on the topmost floor. Only one person lives between the one who likes Blue color and Mona. Only one person lives between Gita and the one who likes Brown color. Puzzle 3: Nine persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I sit around a circular table facing towards the centre. They use different brands of mobile phones viz, Samsung, Apple, Nokia, Sony and Intex. Not more than two people use the same brand. The following information is known about them. * B and C use the same mobile phone. * H sits second to the right of the one who uses Nokia. * A sits third to the right of E. * B sits third to the left of D who either uses Samsung or Sony. * G sits to the immediate left of H. * Two persons sit between B and I. * The person sitting fourth to right of D uses the same mobile phone as that of D. * F does not use Samsung and Apple. * The immediate neighbours of C use Intex. * There is only one pair of people who like the same mobile phone (but neither Nokia nor Samsung) and sit together.

3 Puzzle 4: D, E, F, G, H, P, Q and R are seated in a straight line but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing South while some are facing North. G faces to south direction. D sits fourth to left of P. P sits at one of the extreme ends of the line. Both the immediate neighbours of D face North. E sits second to left of R. R is not an immediate neighbor of D. Neither R nor F sits at the extreme end of the line. F faces opposite direction to G. Both the immediate neighbors of F face North. H sits to the immediate left of Q. Immediate neighbours of G face opposite directions (i.e. if one neighbour of G faces North then the other faces South and vice-versa). Immediate neighbours of E face opposite directions (i.e., if one neighbor of E faces North then the other faces South and vice-versa). People sitting at the extreme ends face the opposite directions (i.e., if one person faces North then the other faces South and vice-versa). Puzzle 5: I. Seven persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G belonging to different cities viz. Bihar, Tamilnadu, Calcutta, Goa, Keral, Jharkhand and Ahmedabad, not necessarily in the same order, went to UK for attending a Common Wealth Game. Each one had a different specialization viz. Shooting. Badminton, Table Tanis, Polo, Football, Basket Ball and Hocky. II. D' is from Calcutta and 'B' does not have specialization in Basket Ball and Table Tanis. C is a man of Polo and comes from Tamilnadu. The person from Goa has specialization in Football. `A' who is specialized in Shooting does not belong to Bihar. F having specialization in Badminton is from Ahmedabad. Hocky is the specialization of G who comes from Keral.

They stay in different hotels i.e.; Taj, Radison, Kanha Shyam, Grand Continental and Ravisha and in different level of rooms i.e., Deluxe, luxury, diamond, gold and platinum. i. D does not stay in Grand Continental and Ravisha hotels but stay in gold room. ii. A either stay in Grand Continental or in TAJ hotels and does not stay in deluxe or luxury room. iii. Cstay in Kanha Shyam hotel but does not like to stay in platinum or deluxe rooms. iv. The person who stay in Grand Continental hotel does not stay in diamond room and the person who like to stay in TAJ hotel like to stay in luxury room. B does not like to stay in luxury room. Puzzle 7: Eight persons P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W are sitting around a circular table. Each of them has a different car, BMW, Maruti, Audi, Honda, Mahindra, Toyota, Fiat and Suzuki but not necessarily in the same order. Four of them are not facing the centre. The one who has Mahindra is on the immediate left of S, who does not have Fiat. S is third to the right of W. V is fourth to the left of U. Neither V or U is an immediate neighbour of S. R has Audi and sits exactly between P and U.R is facing the centre and is to the right of both P and U. T is third to left of P, who has Suzuki. P sits third to left of the one who has Mahindra. The one who has Maruti sits second to the left of the one who has Suzuki. The one who has BMW sits second to the right of S. The one who has Toyota sits second to the right of the person who has Audi. Q does not like Mahindra. P faces the centre. Puzzle 8: Nine friends A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H and I like different companies mobile phone namely Samsung, Sony, Nokia, Apple, LG, HTC, Lenovo, Intex and Jio are sitting in a row from left to right but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing north and some of them are facing south.

5 E who likes Intex is sitting along with the one who likes Lenovo. D likes neither Sony nor Lenovo. The one who likes Samsung is sitting immediately left of B. B is sitting in the middle of the row. C is sitting fourth to the right of the one who likes Intex. The one who likes Jio is sitting third to the right of D. The one who likes Nokia and Sony are facing the same direction and sitting together and one of them is sitting at one of the ends. G is sitting two place away from A and they both face opposite directions. H likes HTC and is facing in the North direction and is sitting at third position from the right end. The one who likes Apple is sitting 2nd to the right of the person Who likes Sony. I faces in the south direction. The one who likes Apple is facing the direction opposite to that of I. The immediate neighbours of the one who likes Apple is facing the direction same as that of I. The one who likes Apple is neither sitting with the one who likes HTC nor with the one who likes Nokia. G does not like Jio. Puzzle 9: Eight friends A,B,C,D,E,F,G and H are sitting around circle table, facing the centre and like different sports viz, Cricket, Badminton, Tennis, Golf, Football, Rugby, Shooting and Archery but not necessarily in the same order. They also prefer different channels viz, Sony Six, Star Sports and Ten 1. At least two and not more than three persons prefer one channel. Only D and E prefer Sony Six. D is third to the right of E. A likes Shooting and prefer Star Sports and is sitting to the immediate right of E. F likes Golf and prefers Ten 1. H prefers the same channel as G, who is third to the left of F and fourth to the right of B. C is sitting exactly opposite to D, who likes Cricket. Persons liking Archery and Tennis prefer Star Sports. G likes Rugby while B likes Tennis. H likes Football.

6 Puzzle 10: Eight persons from different cities, viz. Jaipur, Delhi, Goa, Kolkata, Indore, Jodhpur, Mumbai and Bangalore,are sitting in two parallel rows containing four persons each, in such a way that there is an equal distance between adjacent persons. In row 1, T, U, V and W are sitting and all of them are facing north. In row 2, P, Q, R and S are sitting and all of them are facing south. Therefore, in the given seating arrangement each member sitting in a row faces another member of the other row.
