3 Lord Shiva & the History of Sacred Rudraksha It is said that when one looks upon a Rudraksha, they are actually gazing into the third eye of Shiva. As commonly shared through ancient Hindu stories, it was the moment that Shiva s third eye opened that Rudraksha manifested upon the planet. The seed is a beautiful dark bluish-purple, similar to the color of Shiva s skin. As the most common Rudraksha is the five face, it represents the five senses. The beauty of this sharing is the depth of the experience. That is, when Shiva s third eye opened BRILLIANT LIGHT emitted and burned desire to ash. This is why you see many Sadu s covered in ash. Rudraksha seeds are the LIVING SYMBOL and ENERGY of the dissolution of all illusion and the freedom from the captivity of the senses. 3

6 The Blue Starborn, Shiva and Rudraksha In the hindu tradition which is the oldest religion on the planet, it is recognized that cosmic beings blessed us with this life experience on earth. 8 Rudraksha Care Rudraksha are LIVING SEEDS much like crystals and they RESPOND to care and love! Keep them in a sacred place when not worn and if you live in a humid climate you may need to keep them in the refrigerator. If you notice any mold do not be alarmed, this can easily be washed off and DOES NOT Affect the seed at all. Rurdaksha respond well to PURE sandalwood paste and oil. You can bless them and enhance their energy by anointing them with this regularly. 8 AUTHENTIC Rudraksha will eventually turn color after they attune to you. This darkening is natural and a positive gift. However if you want to clean them, use a soft toothbrush and some water.
