2 Choosing the right glass for your door Flat and Textured Glass Flat glass includes the most frequently used types such as Float, Planibel, Sapelux and Satinato. Transparent glass is most commonly used in its clear form, but it can also be sandblasted or engraved. It is the best type of glass for such processing as it allows the effect to stand out. Satinated glass is translucent, not transparent, and it is convenient for spaces where complete transparency is not desirable. The greatest decorative effect on satinated glass is achieved by engraving. In contrast, decoration is usually not applied to textured glass because it already comes with a texture as its standard feature. Recommended design application technology. The décor can be applied to almost all types of glass, from the most commonly used Float (transparent), through Planibel (full-colour) to Satinato glass (etched on one side). The greatest decorative effect is achieved on satinated glass where milling the etched surface gives it an even more original and unique look.
