3 Material information Steel Framing The steel frame built into our furniture products serve as a reinforcement for added durability and strength. Designed and tested by Art of Décor. Manufactured by Intuitive Designs and Steel Works. Steel information All our steel frames are manufactured with mild steel. It is perfect for general purpose and engineering that is not exposed to extreme weather or humid conditions. Benefits of using Mild Steel Mild steel offers a tough, ductile, malleable and good tensile strength, but offers poor resistance to corrosion. Protected by a durable wood structure, and a high density interior finish, the steel frame offers the perfect solution to a reliable structure. Wood Top quality MDF (Medium density fiber) board is prepared with a 2MM hard resin coat infused into the wooden surface by heat and pressure, ensuring a water and dust proof finish. All finished wood cuts are checked by Art of Décor s quality control system. The wooden construction is permanently fitted to the steel frame. A precise designing procedure ensures for a perfect smooth product finish which leaves no imperfections or misalignment. Benefits of Building with Melamine Laminates Durable - scratch & shatter resistant, waterproof when sealed. Inexpensive - covers inexpensive substrates like MDF or plywood.
