Note that if the same materials are used for more than one item and the total quantity of the combined orders more than 2,500 units testing is required. I.e. if order is for single, double and king sheet sets each set is a unit and if units are over 2500 than testing is required. Copies of all test results are to be submitted with PP sample and original copies sent with Shipping Samples. Where one greige is used across more than one style, at least one fabric to be tested for physical and colour fastness must be done on all colours. 7 Manchester Care Label & Testing Matrix April 2015 Please note that not all products are covered in this matrix and if in doubt about any care label detail or testing requirement contact your QA technician for clarification. CARE INSTRUCTIONS Note that the matrix lists the care instruction only and you must comply with all label requirements i.e. fibre content, Country of Origin etc. Please refer to our Label and Packaging guidelines on page 4 for full details. Note these are guidelines and not all product variations can be covered please ensure that all instructions are correct and workable. TESTING REQUIREMENTS Note that you are required to meet all our standards as listed in our Manchester Standards and Test methods. THE FABRIC MUST COMPLY WITH THE WAREHOUSE REQUIREMENTS REGARDLESS OF MEETING MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY FOR TESTING. For all orders where the total order quantity is equal to or over 2,500 units, you are required to test products as stated in this guide. Note that if the same fabric is used for more than one unit/style and the total quantity of the combined orders is equal to or over 2,500 units, testing is required. For example if there are two orders in a production run for 1,800 units (can be a combination of duvet covers, pillow cases etc.) then the total units are 3,600 and testing is required. We reserve the right to request additional testing where we believe a standard may not be met. Not all standards are required to be tested see our matrix for the standard tests required and refer to spec. Please note testing requirements have been revised October Where one fabric greige is used across multiple colourways or styles at least one fabric is to be tested for physical requirements and fastness to be done on all colours. If the order covers 5 or more colours/designs please refer to QA tech for guidance on the number of colours to be tested (we will ask for a representative % of order). For licensed products refer QA for guidance on number of colour to be tested. All advertised claims (for example thread count, anti - bacterial, block out etc.), must be proven with original copies of test reports. Any non- advertised claims (i.e. thread count as per spec) need to be guaranteed by supplier. Copies of test reports to be submitted with PP sample All TWL order numbers to be listed. Please send all original copies with shipping samples (this is required for auditing). Do not proceed to bulk production without QA test report Approval. 7
