2 THE ART OF SHAPING AN EMOTION For more than thirty years we have created sheepskin products for the furniture and interior design trade. The skills and expertise we posses today was first learned by my father, Frank Borgvall, who was the co-founder of the tannery Berederi AB Scandinavia in the 1960 s. Our vision is to bring high quality sheepskin into homes and public areas for many to enjoy. This being said, we need to perform this task in a manner that ensures animals and peoples health and safety and has as little impact on our environment as only possible. This is our mission. Pairing genuine qualities with modern craftsmanship, our Skandilock Design Collection offers a pleasurable encounter with a unique material. With its gentle feel, sheepskin generates an inviting atmosphere and affords you the opportunity to provide each space with its own personal expression. With our sheepskin products, we provide an escape route back to nature. In a time when the digital landscape claims a great share of our attention we can allow the tactile sense to nourish itself in the soft, comforting curliness of our sheepskin. 4 Sheepskin from Australia and New Zealand constitutes the raw material in our products. The sheep farms we have the privilege of working with are among the best in the world. They possess enormous experience stretching back over several generations, ensuring to preserve the animals traditional way of life. This makes it possible for us to provide a unique product of the highest quality and, at the same time, see to the animals wellbeing. 6 7

10 MAORI Our Maori cushions and rugs are made out of lambskin originating from New Zealand. With its long wool and a wonderful tousled curliness it brings great comfort to a home. 12 PATCHWORK Pieces of material that are surplus after cutting are re-invested and sewn into what we call Patchwork, which is sold per running meter. It is a wonderful, striking skin with a unique appearance. The pieces used vary in size and shapes the finished composition into beautiful patterns. 18 NATURAL BLACKS Skandilock Natural Blacks is a combed sheepskin from Australia. The combing together with an ironing process gives the wool a fantastically soft finish. The skin has its own unique spottiness and is kept natural meaning that it is not dyed. It s available in colors varying from brown to black with light features.
