4 4 Old people's e-services at home Older people's e/services at home, OLDES EU project ( ): new technological solutions to improve quality of life of seniors/challenged persons, through a very low cost and easy to use entertainment and health care platform (Internet and tele-care communication standards). CVUT is responsible for design and development of user-friendly OLDES remote controller and of user interfaces for different types of users (the service users, their care givers and the relevant medical professionals).

7 7 COGAIN Communication by Gaze Interaction (COGAIN), a EU network of excellence supported during CVUT is involved by its original low cost gaze based communication system I4Control. Special attention is devoted to its application for text entry, entertainment applications, mobility control and the control of environment. The European Information Society Technologies Prize 2005

8 8 ITAREPS The IT Aided Relapse Prevention Programme in Schizophrenia (ITAREPS): a mobile phone-based telemedicine solution for remote patient monitoring and disease management in schizophrenia and psychotic disorders. The programme provides health professionals with home telemonitoring via a PC-to-phone SMS platform that identifies prodromal symptoms of relapse, to enable early intervention and prevent unnecessary hospitalizations. Its web-based interface offers the authorized physician a longitudinal analysis of the dynamics and development of possible prodromes.

11 11 Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) of the subthalamic nucleus (STN) as an important method of treatment for Parkinson s disease. The aim of the project is to search for/identify individual subthalamic neurons involved in the affective circuits in perioperative single-cells recording.
