2 What is the Injection Moulding Driver Licence? The Injection Moulding Driver Licence is a new and unique product in injection moulding training. Programme Benefits The advantage over traditional training programs is that the awarded certificate is like a driver s licence; it s given only after a student has passed the final theory and practical examination rather than on the basis of attendance. Passing the examination proves that the student has understood the training and is able to apply the knowledge into the practice of injection moulding. The courses progressively improve students injection moulding knowledge and increase their ability to diagnose and solve problems. Students who pass the stringent Injection Moulding Driver Licence examination will possess injection moulding expertise equivalent to their German counterparts. A Certificate The Injection Moulding Driver Licence is a certificate, similar to a driver s licence. It is not a certificate achieved just by attending the course, which is often the case in traditional training programs. Certification is only obtained after the participant has passed the final exam. Those who have passed this stringent test will be proven to have a sound theoretical and practical knowledge of thermoplastic injection moulding. Students who pass the stringent Injection Moulding Driver Licence examination will possess injection moulding expertise equivalent to their German counterparts.

3 What is the Injection Moulding Driver Licence? The Injection Moulding Driver Licence is a new and unique product in injection moulding training. 400 exam questions The participant will need to be able to pass several examinations drawn from a database of 400+ questions that covers all areas of injection moulding such as plastic materials, tools and machinery. Practical Knowledge Parts of the examination are practical exercises that must be performed in the factory environment. The results have to be explained and discussed by the students in the written section of the examination, with additional questions to be answered orally. Passing this section proves that the student has understood the training and is able to transport the knowledge into the practice of injection moulding. What to do. Demoulding process Mould technique, mechanical function, heat transfer Topics: Configuration and structure of plastic material What is urgent, from where can you get the right data Thermoplastic resin thermoplastic elastomer / TPE When do you reach the boundary, what are the advantages of TPE Characteristics of plastics, focused on thermoplastics, influence of entrapped moisture on production Why you need to dry material, how to manage this in the right way How you can achieve a good homogeneity of the material Plasticizing Why do you need back pressure Why you should inject with laminar plastic flow How to determine the dwell pressure time How to find out the optimal cooling time What you should consider while injecting PVT- Diagram How to improve surface faults How to identify and calculate the necessary clamping force How function the different mould designs What is a 3-platenmould Hot-runner mould How look the faults and imperfections at a injection moulded article Faults, sinks, gloss differences moisture- and burning flowmarks Demoulding problems. 9 Vladimir Shibayev Vladimir has worked with high-tech equipment and advanced technologies in the field of heavy industry after he graduated from the Riga Industrial College and Institute of Civil Aviation. During his career he worked as a developer of industrial equipment, automation designer, production manager, technologist and engineer for injection moulding equipment. Vladimir has more than 15 years of experience in the plastics industry. He was the Chief Technical Specialist for setting up three green field moulding facilities in Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden. He was also the technical director of a equipment company responsible for installation and after sales service of more than 400 moulding machines. Vladimir also worked in Germany for two years as a Automation Designer. He joined GTC in 2012 as a Licensed Trainer and Accreditor and is also responsible for the Russian speaking market.
