2 About us At CCG we believe in the economic value of knowledge as a way to achieve a better society. Created in November 1993 CCG is private, non-profit organization and a qualified entity of the National Scientific and Technological System to provide services of Research and Technological Development, Consulting and services to support the innovation of Business. Mission Promote and develop applied research and technology transfer, essentially by participating in national and international activities and projects concerned with Research and Technological development (R&TD). Vision Being an international reference center in applied research and development, in the field of computer graphics; information, communication and electronic technologies and their applications. 2

The integration of both of these scientific domains allows the study and development of technological innovative solutions, across all the development cycle, from the signal acquisition to its interpretation and correspondent output action. 15 CVIG: Projects AGATHA Crime Surveillance (Portugal 2020 financed project) The analysis to be made to these resources is aimed at identifying elements that indicate illegal procedures or the detection of patterns. Video and image analysis (GCC): This module will allow the extraction of characteristics of image and video files. To this end, algorithms will be developed to detect specific images in the contents collected (for example: faces, gender, age, cars, video actions, face recognition) Biometric analysis : It will also explore voice biometrics to determine the identity of the speaker based on the characteristics of his speech and voice. Analysis of Information: Each analysis module is targeted to a specific content type (text, image, video, audio, voice, or biometric data). These contents will be related to Semantic Web data, in order to support the evaluation of the content, regardless of its source. 15

EPMQ project s target are the Industry (from system development business) on a company or organization s need to innovate and the Research & Development members (from the same research interests) on a specific work validation. 19 EPMQ: Projects with Industry Cloud Applications for SMART Bosch Car Cars Multimedia Portugal, S.A , Analysis of the software development processes defined by Bosch, with reference models of software quality, safety standards for cars and oriented to agile methodologies. Industry Development of a compliance assessment framework. The Cloud Applications for SMART Cars project will develop a new architecture and new cloud application development process for smart vehicles as well as the materialization of three application prototypes that cover infotainment services in the context of smart cities. To this end, a development process appropriate to the needs will be formalized and institutionalized, where a software product variability management strategy and a product and portfolio management strategy will be defined in the CCDS
20 EPMQ: Projects with Industry UH4SP Unified Hub for Smart Plants Co-promotion Project PT Survey requirements and cloud, IoT and Industry 4.0 benchmarks., Conception of a service-oriented cloud architecture. Industry Development of business process instantiation services. In this project, we will define a software development process centralized in the design of an architecture and service specification (SOA) in cloud computing contexts, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0. It is intended that architecture design support shows the logical abstraction related to the intended operation of the cloud platform as an integrator (middleware) for the allocation of robust and reliable resource and data entities in the value chain. 20
21 Domain of Applied Research PIU: Perception, Interaction & Usability PIU is a domain of applied research within CCG, with a dedicated team that studies human perception, human factors and ergonomics, human behavior and interaction with technology, and usability. The main goal of PIU is to develop human-centered studies and to participate in the creation of new products that contribute to a more adaptive, usable, and comfortable utilization, as well as products that help with health/rehabilitation, safety, and entertainment.
