2 NUCLEAR LIFTING 2014: NUCLEAR HANDLING AND HIGH RISK LIFTING 9 December 2014, The Studio, Manchester THE ONLY EVENT DESIGNED ESPECIALLY FOR THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY TO FOCUS ON A RANGE OF DESIGNS, SAFETY CASES AND REQUIREMENTS FOR LIFTS. Address the technical and environmental issues surrounding handling and high risk lifting at the 5th Nuclear Lifting Seminar. Nuclear itself is a highly regulated industry and lifting is no different. The Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) provide some extremely stringent guidelines for the safe movement of equipment within a nuclear site. These not only cover the type of crane that can be used, but the types of materials that are used on the machine itself. Join us on 9 December for your unique opportunity to gain unparalleled insight into guidance from the ONR and hear standalone presentations from DSRL, NDA, AWE and EDF. Attend this event to explore long term strategies, unique safety cases and cost-effective design that meet regulated standards. Furthermore, understand how changes in standards will impact existing and new build sites in interactive panel discussions. BENEFITS OF ATTENDANCE: Understand how changes in standards will affect design requirements for cranes Learn how to create an assessment process for crane maintenance Hear AWE s introduction to the concept of deterministic design Identify methodologies used by EDF when producing fuel route lifting integrity safety cases Develop a solid safety case for all eventualities ATTENDING INDUSTRY ORGANISATIONS AND COMPANIES INCLUDE: SPONSORSHIP & EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES GET INVOLVED Attending this event as either an exhibitor or sponsor will give you the opportunity to display your solutions, services and products to the right people at the right time. This is an excellent way to enhance your company profile and communicate effectively to your target audience. BENEFITS OF SPONSORING Showcase new products Raise awareness of your operation Improve perception of your brand Influence other organisations spending plans For more information please call +44 (0) or sponsorship@imeche.org
