2 INTRODUCTION The office products industry has changed dramatically during the last 20 years in almost every part of the supply chain. Most of these changes have evolved through entrepreneurs who have had a vision, developed an idea or concept, created or acquired a company and taken it to market. But where are the next generation of entrepreneurs and directors of the future? The industry needs to find, develop and invest in this talent if it is to thrive. BOSS will be running a one day Leaders of the Future event on Thursday 11 April at The Hilton Birmingham Metropole, NEC Birmingham. A fantastic array of industry leaders are lined up to talk about their particular part of the supply chain and how they see the industry developing over the next five years. They will also look at the challenges facing their companies and the industry as a whole. Ideas and advice will be offered to young aspiring entrepreneurs of the future on what they need to know and how they can make a difference in their own companies. The speakers include: Alan Ball, Chief Executive, Spicers Adrian Butler, Managing Director, VOW Simon Drakeford, Chief Executive, Euroffice Dinah Liversidge, Motivational Speaker, MotivActional Aidan McDonough, Managing Director, Integra Office Solutions Simon Moate, Chief Executive, office2office Sean Starkey, Managing Director, Durable UK The day will be chaired by renowned motivational speaker Dinah Liversidge. The cost for this one day event is 50 + VAT to cover lunch and facilities. Opportunities will also be available through the BOSS Federation for further training and management development for those entrepreneurs of the future who want to make a difference.

4 SPEAKERS Alan Ball Alan has been Chief Executive of Spicers since Better Capital acquired the wholesaler in Before joining Spicers in 2009 he was Executive Director for BSS Group, PTS, and was also Managing Director at Wolseley for four years. Earlier in his career he held various managing director roles with GE and FKI over a period of 10 years. He is the current BOSS Chairman. Adrian Butler Now in his fourth year as Managing Director of VOW, Adrian has led a number of initiatives within the wholesaler to support the independent reseller. This included the launch of the successful VOW+ program, the development of the PACT service and the re-organisation of the external and internal sales teams. Simon Drakeford Simon Drakeford joined Euroffice as Chief Executive in October He rebranded the business and in 2009 launched an Italian subsidiary based in Milan. The following year he led an MBO which saw Darwin Private Equity acquire a major stake. Then in July 2011 Euroffice acquired UK Office Direct, which continues to operate as an individual brand. In the past four years sales across the whole group have grown from 18m to 38m.

5 Dinah Liversidge Dinah began her career at Mercury Communications in the 1980s, working as part of a team to move the business from telex to fax. She then moved to Glaxo Smithkline for 11 years. During her time there she had a serious accident which resulted in her being wheelchair dependant for 12 years. Over the last 10 years she has got back on her feet again and set up three successful businesses and runs a region of the world s largest networking organisation. Aidan McDonough Aidan has worked within the office products sector for almost 20 years. He was appointed Managing Director of dealer group Integra in 2007 at the age of 40, having spent the previous 10 years as Group Marketing Director. Since then, despite the severe economic downturn, Integra has continued to expand its service. Simon Moate Simon is the Chief Executive of office2office a 200m turnover office supplier, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Since being recruited as Chief Executive in 2007 he has driven substantial change across the business. In 2011 the business won the largest ever public sector office supplies contract from the UK government. Before his current role, Simon held a number of senior roles at Johnson Service Group and other blue chip companies. Sean Starkey As well as being Managing Director of Durable in the UK, Sean is the current Chairman of the BOSS Manufactuers Forum and is also a Non-Executive Director of the BOSS Federation. He worked first for Spicers and Acco, before taking on various European and Australasian positions within the industry until his current role, which he has held for five years.
