Installatin Precautins IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLATION Precautin Actin Reasn Multiple pwer supplies Vltage drp acrss the pwer bus Grunding 0V line f all pwer supplies n the same cnveyr line (pwering the card/rllers, & cntrls) need t be physically linked tgether. Use suitable gauge wire in relatin t distance and current draw t prevent vltage drp. Operating DC vltage is 24V ±10% Ensure the cntrl card is securely grunded t the cnveyr frame. The cnveyr frame shuld als be at the same ptential reference as earth grund. Standard grunding practices shuld be fllwed. This cmpletes the signal path frm ne sectin f the cnveyr (pwered by a pwer supply) t the adjacent sectin f cnveyr (pwered by anther pwer supply) and allws fr prper cmmunicatin thrugh the cable and external interfaces. When running lng distances frm a DC pwer supply, the vltage drp during mtr peratin acrss the pwer bus may be significant (may drp belw 15V!). If there is a large enugh drp in vltage, the rller(s) may behave in a strange manner. In rder t prevent this, a larger gauge wire must be used. Static discharge may interfere and damage internal cmpnents. Electrical 24V DC ±10% 4A maximum current limiter (mtr lck is 4A) Dide prtectin fr miswiring Sensr pwer shrt circuit prtectin 5A fuse fr pwer supply prtectin Imprper pwer will damage the card. The mtr/card shuld nt be subject t lcked cnditins repeatedly. Internal fuse is nt replaceable. If the fuse has blwn, mre serius damage has ccurred within the card/mtr. Envirnment Over-speeding Ambient temperature is 32~104 F Ambient humidity is < 90%RH Atmsphere has n crrsive gas Vibratin is < 0.5G Indr use nly Over-speeding f the rller s nlad speed by mre than 50% may cause damage. Extreme envirnmental variables may cause pr r n perfrmance and damage the card. Back EMF will be generated. SPECIFICATIONS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE Page 9 f 10

Additinal Precautins t ensure best perfrmance Use a stable pwer supply that wn t be influenced by the lad. When DC pwer supply gets heated, it nrmally tries t reduce the utput current t avid the further temperature rise. If this desn t wrk adequately, it will then start reducing vltage, which culd be lwer than 15V. Lw vltage errr als might happen mre frequently with a battery befre it reaches dwn t it s discharging vltage. Capacity f the 24VDC pwer supply shuld be greater than 10A. The pwer supply shuld nt activate its prtectin in 1msec r less fr 30A peak current. This is imprtant t ensure the service life f the pwer supply, driver card and t prevent malfunctins. Make sure the pwer is shut ff befre munting r remving the CN3 mtr cnnectr. Otherwise, back EMF culd damage the PCB r it may increase the risk f electrical shck. D nt start r stp the mtr frm the pwer line. This culd shrten the service life f the prduct. The driver card requires 1 secnd t activate a mtr when it is first pwered. D nt use a relay r cntactr near the pwer line, signal line r the driver card. The ON/OFF switching culd generate nise that may cause malfunctin f the driver card. D nt remve the mtr cable while the mtr is in peratin. This culd cause damage r malfunctin.
