Elegant Bird Scrapbook Tin Designed By: Laurie Zoellmer March 2012 This altered CD Tin is a perfect way to preserve photos and special memories, complete with a little inside pocket to hold small mementos. Pair it up with a coordinating card and this is a perfect gift for the bride-to-be! Instructions Step 1 Place tin upside down on wrong side of Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper (DSP) and trace around lid. Cut out and glue to the lid of the tin using an Anywhere Glue Stick. If necessary, trim the edges of the DSP after it s glued. Step 1a Step 1b Step 1c
Step 2 Run Soft Suede card stock and Beau Chateau DSP through the Big Shot using the Elegant Bird die. Using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die, make a small butterfly from Soft Suede card stock. Using the Triple Layer Blossom punch, make two flowers out of Very Vanilla card stock. Step 2 Step 3 Run the two punched flowers through the Crimper 12 times to break down fibers. Crumple both of the flowers. Step 3a Step 3b Step 3c Step 4 Slowly separate each flower into two pieces. Stack the flowers on top of each other (fuzzy side up), add the butterfly, and hold all together with a Gold brad. Step 4a Step 4b
Step 5 Using SNAIL adhesive, attach the wing to the bird. Attach a Mini Glue Dot to the back of the floral embellishment and attach to the bird. Step 5a Step 5b Step 5c Step 6 Using the Big Shot and the Petal Cone die, die cut a flag and stamp the Forever & Always image from the Loving Thoughts stamp set using Soft Suede ink. Step 6 Step 7 Place Stampin Dimensionals on back of the bird as shown in Step 7a. Attach to the lid of the tin as shown in Step 7b. Trim flag and attach to the lid with SNAIL adhesive as shown in Step 7b.
Step 7a Step 7b Step 8 Using the 3/16 Corner punch, round the corners of the two pieces of 5-1/8 x 4-½ DSP and glue to the inside lid and bottom of the tin. Round the bottom corners of the 5-1/8 x 1-½ DSP for the pocket and attach to the inside of the lid. Step 8a Step 8b Step 9 Cut four 4-¼ x 5 pieces of Pink Pirouette card stock and score each one at ¾ on one 4-1/4 side. Cut a 4-¼ x 1 piece of Soft Suede card stock and punch a scallop border using the Scallop Edge Border punch as shown in Step 9a. Stack the Pink Pirouette pages and the Soft Suede trim, and hold together with gold brads as shown in Step 9b.
Step 9a Step 9b Step 10 Place mini scrapbook in tin. Step 10 Step 11 To make the card start with a 4-¼ x 8-½ piece of Soft Suede card stock folded in half. Scallop the edge of the 3-½ x 4 DSP and add to the card base as shown in Step 11a. Using Soft Suede ink, stamp Congrats from the Tagtastic stamp set on a 3 x 3 piece of Very Vanilla card stock and punch out using a 2-½ Circle punch. Repeat the flower/butterfly embellishment as shown in Steps 3 and 4. Tie 16 of ribbon around the card and add embellishments as shown in Step 11a. Finish off the inside of the card with a strip of 1 x 4 DSP and stamp Best Wishes - For the new Mr. and Mrs. from the Petite Pairs stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a piece of 4 x 4 Very Vanilla card stock as shown in Step 11b.
