Thank You Gift for Stampers Designed By: Regina Andari December 2013 As a Stampin Up! Demonstrator, this is the time of year when I like to not only come up with a useful gift for my customers to thank them for their business and loyalty for the past year but I also want the packaging of the gift to offer creative inspiration. This ensemble features the perfect box to hold a sampling of assorted card stock and designer paper, and the small container filled with an assortment of embellishments is decorated with Washi Tape and a 3-D floral topper. Of course, this project wouldn t be complete without a greeting card. Greeting Card Instructions Step 1 On 3-3/4 square piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp the dove from Calm Christmas stamp set using Crumb Cake ink. Stamp thank you from Another Thank You stamp set using Cherry Cobbler ink. Tie a 12 piece of Cherry Cobbler ½ seam binding around the stamped layer, and finish it with a knot.
Step 1 Adhere the stamped layer of card stock to a 4 square piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock. Cut a 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 piece of Whisper White card stock, score it at 4-1/4, and then adhere the assembled Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White stamped layers to the front of the card. Embellishment Container Instructions Step 1 Fill an empty Stampin Up! embellishment container with an assortment of embellishments. Use the 2-3/4 Scallop Circle punch to cut a scallop circle from Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green card stock. Use hot glue to attach the Cherry Cobbler punched circle to the inside of the lid, and adhere the Gumball Green circle to the top of the lid.
Step 1 Wrap the exterior of the container with Season of Style designer Washi Tape. Step 3 To create the 3D floral topper, punch five flowers from Whisper White card stock with the Blossom punch. Use the 3/4" Circle punch to create a hole in the center of each punched flower, and then cut the flowers so that you end up with the pieces as shown in the photo. Note that the first punched flower is intact. The second flower has a slit cut between two petals. One petal has been cut from the third flower, two petals have been cut from the fourth flower, and the fifth flower has been cut in half.
Step 3 Step 4 Sponge the edge of all the flower petals with Cherry Cobbler ink, and use a Bone Folder to slightly curl each petal. Step 4 Step 5 Set aside the first flower, which is intact without any cuts. Working with the second flower, the one with a slit cut between two petals, put a small amount of adhesive on the petal to the left of the slit. Now bring the petal to the right of the slit over and on top of the adhesive, holding the two petals together for a few seconds while the adhesive sets (Step 5a). Repeat the process for the next two flowers. With the three-petal flower, it works best to manipulate the petals and adhere two edges rather than two whole petals together. For the two-petal flower, just roll one petal over leaving the punched center open and adhere the two edges together. Loosely roll the
single petal, and use a small amount of adhesive to hold the rolled shape (Step 5b). Stack each of the assembled pieces on top of the first punched flower that you have set aside (Step 5c). Step 5a Step 5b Step 5c Step 6 Place a generous puddle of hot glue on the Silicone Craft Sheet. Carefully pick up the stacked flowers, and place them on top of the glue. Working quickly, move any of the layers that need to be re-positioned and then gently press/hold the 3D flower in place while the glue cools. Step 6a Step 6b Step 7 Adhere the finished flower to the top of the embellishment container. Step 7
Gift Box Instructions Step 1 Cut a 9-1/2 x 9-1/2 piece of Season of Style Designer Series Paper (DSP). Use the Envelope Punch Board to punch a notch and score all four sides at 4-1/2 and 5. Step 1 Each of the four sides of DSP will have a small scored section which will form a flap. Use Paper Snips to create the four flaps, one of which is indicated by the arrow in the photo. Fold the DSP to crease all of the scored lines. Step 3 Two of the flaps will be used to form the closed bottom of the box. Decide which two flaps will be used at the bottom of the box, and then fold the triangular section between those flaps away from the interior of the box. This will make it easier to handle the small flaps while adhering them to the sides of the box. Place a small amount of adhesive on the flaps, and then press and hold the joined corner pieces in place.
Step 3a Step 3b Step 4 Fold the side panels toward the center of the box. Place a small amount of adhesive on one of the points and carefully press them together, paying attention that the sides of the box are straight and shaped properly. Step 4 Step 5 Adhering the bottom flap in place will be much easier if you put your gift of card stock/paper inside. This box will hold 35 to 40 pieces of 5-1/2 square card stock and paper. Once the box is filled, put adhesive on the flap, and then fold it up and press it into place. Step 5a Step 5b
Step 6 At the top of the box, use Paper Snips to cut off the two small flaps since they aren t needed. Step 6 Step 7 Wrap a 14 piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/2 seam binding around the box, and adhere the ends of the seam binding together. Step 7 Step 8 Use the Gift Bow die to cut DSP pieces as shown in the photo. Use the 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece of DSP for this, plus a scrap piece. Place the scrap of DSP on the section of the die that cuts the smaller bow (the single oval piece with a tab on each end) so you will have all of the necessary pieces as shown in the photo. Step 8
Step 9 Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the die-cut pieces as shown. Be sure to wrap the small rectangle piece around the double bow before adhering the tails. Adhere the finished bow to the box. Step 9a Step 9b Materials Stampin' Up!
