The Box of the Oven: Cut a piece of cardstock to be 9 x 9 and score at 3 & 6 turn and score again at 3 & 6 to get a grid like pattern 2 From the top, score at 2 1/2 down to the first horizontal score line repeat at 6 1/2 3 - Turn the cardstock and repeat for the opposite side
Cut the four corners out along the score lines be sure to cut right up to the intersecting lines 5 Fold along all score lines 6 To cut the window take a square die and position in place I positioned the bottom of my die approximately ½ up from the bottom score line on that panel. In order to fit your cardstock through the Big Shot you will need to fold a few sections under
Run through the Big Shot to cut your window and fold the sections back out. Apply strong adhesive tape to the flaps 8 Fold up and and secure in place 9 The Bottom Drawer of the Oven: this part is optional as it is purely decorative! Cut a piece of cardstock to be 8 1/4" x 4 1/2" and place into your score tool with the short edge along the top score at 3/4" & 3 3/4"
Turn around and score at 3/4", 3 3/4", 4 1/2" & 7 1/2" 11 Fold along all score lines and cut along the small lines to create tabs this is a simple pizza style box that folds in on itself 12 Apply strong adhesive tape to the tabs and fold up & secure in place. You do not need this box to be opening so tape it closed as you wish the only part that will show are the front and back pieces
And here is the finished box. Use strong tape to adhere it to the base of the oven box 14 And this is what you will have 15 The Lid of the Oven: Cut a piece of cardstock to measure 4 5/8 x 4 5/8 and score in each side at 3/4"
Cut along the small lines to create tabs, apply strong adhesive tape, fold and adhere in place 17 And here is your lid 18 And pop it in place on top of your oven
The back of the Stovetop: Cut a piece of cardstock to be 3 x 3 1/4" and place into your score tool with the longest edge along the top. Score at 3/4" & 1 3/4" 20 Fold along the score lines 21 Adhere the largest panel to the back of the box lid. Add a strip of strong adhesive tape to the small flap
And adhere in place on the stove top it will be angled you can adjust how much of an angle you want 23 The Wrap: To cover the join of the bottom drawer and oven pieces you can create a wrap cut a piece of cardstock to be 10 1/2" x 3 score at 3 3/4" from each end and fold along the score lines 24 Use strong adhesive tape to secure the bottom in place first and then wrap the other two panels up each side
Optional Cupcake/Muffin Insert: To hold a cake firmly in place you can create a stand to pop in the oven cut a piece of cardstock to measure 3 7/8 square and use a circle die to create your hole the size you need will depend on the size of cake you have. Score in at 1/2 from each edge 26 Cut along those little score lines to create your tabs, just like you did for the box lid adhere in place and this is what you will have 27 Pop into the bottom of the oven and there you have a way to hold your cake securely and it can t be seen through the window of the oven as it fits just beneath it
This is how I decorated mine all items that I used are listed in the supply list at the top of this Project Sheet. I wanted to create a modern stainless steel look and so used Black for my base and Silver Foil Paper to get that look. Here is the finished oven without tool rack on the side Here is a look at the stove top I used a 1 Circle Punch to cut the black circles and a 3/4" Circle Punch for the silver plates the pattern on them is from the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder. The knobs are from Metallic Enamel Shapes and the big center one is from Clear Faceted Gems The handles are simply strips of cardstock that I moulded using my fingers and attached each end with a glue dot easy but effective!
Here is the tool rack and tag the utensils were cut using dies from Apron Builder Framelits and the tag was stamped with a stamp from Apron of Love And lastly here is a muffin inside the oven If you have any questions at all about this tutorial please email me at sarah@sarahsinkspot.com and I will be very happy to answer them for you.
