Descriptin 1. LI- cntrl mdule with 4 general purpse inputs. 2. The wli MC can cntrl a LI circuit wirelessly 3. The wli MC cnsist f tw cmpnents - the user interface which can be placed anywhere (sender) and a transceiver, which has t be cnnected t the LI signal line. 4. The wli MC can be used withut any cnfiguratin effrt by using the factry settings. 5. Cnfiguratin via LI line and the free sftware package LI-Cckpit.

6. Destinatin address, switching mde and LI-cmmand can be assigned t each pushbuttn. 7. Individual addresses (0-63), grup addresses (0-15) r bradcast can be set as destinatin address. 8. Varius switching mdes (shrt, lng press; tggle; etc.) can be assigned t each pushbuttn. 9. The fllwing functins are available: up, dwn, ff, recall min/max, gt scene 0-15, direct arc pwer in % as well as macrs. 10. LI DT8 supprt fr adjustable white luminaires with the help f special macrs. 11.The mdule als has an adjustable pwer-up -functin. In ther wrds a user-defined cmmand can be sent n pwer up (e.g. after pwer-failure). 12. Multiple wli MC can be used n the same LI signal line. 13. The sender mdule f the wli MC can be placed in a flush munted scket anywhere in the radi receiver range f the transceiver mdule (up t 300m). 14. The sender mdule is battery pwered (lifetime abut 6 years at typical use) 15. The receiver mdule f wli MC is directly supplied with pwer via the LI signal line and des nt need an additinal cnnectin t the mains. Addressing and Cnfiguratin, Factry Settings With the help f a LI-USB interface the LI-Cckpit sftware tl can cmmunicate with the wli MC. This way the desired functinality can be cnfigured easily n PC. During the addressing prcess with the PC Sftware yu will be asked t press any buttn f the cntrl-mdule attached t the wli MC. Afterwards the mdule will be registered and listed in the LI Cckpit. If multiple wli MCs are in use, the rder f activatin will define allcatin. The LI-Cckpit sftware is a free cnfiguratin tl fr LI systems. Standard LI ballasts can be addressed and cnfigured as well as the wli MC. LI-Cckpit and - LI-USB Interface are required fr cnfiguratin nly and can be remved fr standard peratin. Fr simple applicatins the factry settings can be sufficient (dim&switch functin). In this case there is n need fr a LI USB interface and cnfiguratin tl. With the factry settings the fllwing cmmands can be retrieved, the necessary cmmands are sent t the entire LI circuit. (Bradcast) factry setting: Switch&Dim T1: Macr Switch On (switch n last set level) T2: Dim Up T3: Makr Switch Off (safe set level and turn ff) T4: Dim Dwn Inf: Please nte that after turning ff with the macr Switch OFF, the macr Switch ON has t be used t fr turning n. This is especially imprtant if multiple devices are in use. Adjustable ality With the LI Cckpit sftware the 4 inputs f the wli MC can be cnfigured. By pressing the device cnnected t the wli MC, LI cmmands can be sent t ne r mre target addresses and grups. The available parameters allw very flexible and individual slutins. The first settings regard the switching mdalities, the functinality f the switching mdule cnnected t the wli MC. Practical examples wuld be: A switch where brief and lng pressing duratin results in different LI cmmands r a switching key, which sends cmmands depending n the lighting status r its deplyment as autmatic staircase device with cnfigurable delay between tw cmmands.

A cmplete list f all functins are listed in the table belw: Actin Descriptin 1 Push Buttn shrt/lng: 1 * cmmand X 2 Push Buttn shrt: 1 * cmmand X lng: 1 * cmmand X then 1 * 3 Push Buttn shrt: 1 * cmmand X lng: 1 * cmmand X then repeatedly 4 Push Buttn Tggle 5 Push Buttn Tggle 6 Push Buttn Dimming Key 9 Stairwell shrt: tggle between cmmand X and Y shrt: tggle between cmmand X and Y lighting status based shrt: tggle between cmmand X and Y, lighting status based lng: dimming, lighting status based shrt/lng: cmmand X, after run-n time Briefly pressing r hlding dwn the push buttn will send cmmand X nce Briefly pressing r hlding dwn the push-buttn will send cmmand X ne time Hlding dwn the push buttn will send cmmand X nce and then nce Briefly pressing r hlding dwn the push-buttn will send cmmand X ne time Hlding dwn the push buttn will send cmmand X nce and then repeatedly Briefly pressing the push buttn will alternate between sending cmmands X and Y Briefly pressing the push buttn will alternate between sending cmmands X and Y lighting based: If the light was previusly switched ff -> cmmand X If the light was previusly switched n -> Briefly pressing the push buttn will alternate between sending cmmands X and Y lighting based: If the light was previusly switched ff -> cmmand X If the light was previusly switched n -> Hlding dwn the dimmer switch dims r brightens the lighting. If the pushbuttn is pressed, cmmand X is sent and the runn time starts. Once the run-n time elapsed, is sent. 10 Push Buttn shrt: 1*cmmand X n release lng: repeated 11 Push Buttn 1 * cmmand X, then repeated withut lng buttn delay Briefly pressing the push buttn and release will send cmmand X Hlding dwn the push buttn will send repeated Pressing the pushbuttn will send cmmand X and then repeated withut lng buttn press delay.

Besides the switch functins the reactins/resulting behaviur has t be defined. The devices that shuld receive LI cmmands shuld be registered. It is pssible t use single-device-addresses, grups, r bradcast. Each input can be assigned 4 addresses. In the next step the LI cmmands that shuld be send t these addresses r grups have t be defined. The available set f cmmands is listed belw: cmmand number cmmand name - DIRECT ARC direct arc pwer Level in % POWER 0 OFF ff 1 UP dim up (using fade rate) 2 DOWN dim dwn (using fade rate) 3 STEP UP increases light level by ne increment 4 STEP DOWN decreases light level by ne increment 5 RECALL MAX recalls MAX value 6 RECALL MIN recalls MIN value 7 STEP DOWN AND OFF decreases light level by ne increment, if value at MIN switch ff 8 ON AND STEP UP increases light level by ne increment, if OFF switch n 16-31 GO TO SCENE g t scene 0-15 Besides the recall f cmmands, pressing a push buttn can als recall a LI macr. These macrs can be used fr predefined prcesses (fr example a sequential recall f scenes, cyclic Scene-switch ) r any ther sequence f user-defined LI cmmands. The available set f macrs is listed belw: macr (required memry) G Hme (2 Byte) Sequential Scenes (3 Byte) Dynamic Scenes (33 Byte) LI-Reset (1 Byte) user defined cmds (5 bytes per cmmand, 19 cmmands max.) Light dims dwn t P 0 with predefined fade time, then fade time is set back t a prgrammable value Selectable scenes (r OFF) will be sent sequentially with each buttn press. Dynamic sequence f up t 16 selectable scenes, fadetimes and delays, stps with next buttn press Sends LI-Reset (address can be deleted ptinally) A user defined macr file can be laded t the switch

The ttal amunt shuld nt succeed 96bytes. Detailed infrmatin n predefined macrs and the setting f user-defined macrs are described in the user-manual f the cnfiguratin sftware (LI cckpit). Anther cnfigurable feature is the pwerup -functin. This is a user-defined reactin n a pwer up. The fllwing ptins are available fr the LI Switch Crss: n actin OFF g t scene 0-15 T take the startup-time f LI-ballasts int accunt a delay time can be cnfigured between pwer up and the start f transmissin f the selected cmmand. This functinality f the wli MC can thus be interpreted as an extensin fr LI cntrl gears. Althugh thse ballasts have a POWER ON LEVEL fr mains pwer up, they dn t have a predefined dim level fr bus vltage return. With the help f this feature the SYSTEM FAILURE LEVEL (which is set at a bus vltage lss) can be verruled. The wli MC will turn t the last set light value after restarting. With the described cnfiguratin settings it is pssible t set cmplex but als very flexible light applicatins, in a rather easy way. LI Instructin Set The wli MC perates as cntrl device n the LI-line and transmits the predefined LI-cmmands whenever the push-buttn is being pressed. It is based n the standard fr LI Cntrl Gears (IEC 62386-102). In additin t the abve mentined LI cmmands there are special cmmands implemented fr writing data transfer registers (DTR) and cmmand 47 (STORE DTR AS FADE RATE). Furthermre the ACTIVATE cmmand and the DT8-cmmands STEP COOLER and STEP WARMER are used fr clur temperature cntrl. Operating mdes The wli MC supprts 3 perating mdes (available frm firmware versin V1.5). Master Mde (Default) In this perating mde the wli MC wrks as a cntrl unit and sends LI cmmands t the lads, accrding t the cnfiguratin settings. In cmbinatin with an ther central cntrl device this default setting shuld be changed t ne f the ther perating mdes.

Event Message Mde If an event ccurs at the input a cmmand is sent t the target address as an event indicatr, this happens within the scpe f the prprietary prtcl extensin. This message cntains infrmatin abut the type f actin (shrt push, lng push, r the end f a lng push). Additinally the master-mdule can retrieve the rigin f the event (switch number). In this perating mde the wli MC des nt cntrl LI-lads. Slave Mde The salve mde is a passive perating mde. The wli MC is nt autmatically active, it nly replies n request. Fr infrmatin retrieves a set f cmmands can be used, prvided within the scpe f the prprietary prtcl extensin, r the wli MC can be given an address and infrmatin can be retrieved via scene-retrieval. The perating mde can be set within the LI cckpit. 4. Dimensins 5. Safety warnings 5.1. T avid installed the prduct in minefield, strng magnetic field and high vltage area. 5.2.
