WOF= Width of Fabric LOF = Length of Fabric Fabric A (2941-99 Town Gray), cut: (1) 30 ½ x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (1) 18 ½ x 30 ½ strip. Fabric B (2940-22 Border Stripe Pink), cut: Fussy cut (2) 6 ½ x 64 ½ LOF strips, each centered on a row of houses. Fussy cut (2) 6 ½ x 52 ½ LOF strips, each centered on a row of houses. Fussy cut (2) 3 ½ x 30 ½ LOF strips, each centered on the bicycles. Fussy cut (2) 3 ½ x 18 ½ LOF strips, each centered on the bicycles. Fabric C (2943-55 Cobblestones Plum), cut: (1) 3 ½ x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (4) 2 ½ x 8 ½ strips. Fabric L (Just Color! 1351-Lipstick), cut: See instructions to cut (4) flowers. Fabric M (2942-22 Banners Pink), cut: (2) 2 ½ x 60 ½ LOF strips. (2) 2 ½ x 52 ½ LOF strips. Fabric N (Just Color! 1351-Powder Pink), cut: See instructions to cut (4) flowers. Fabric O (2946-55 Tone on Tone Plum), cut: (1) 6 ½ x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (4) 6 ½ squares. (1) 5 x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (10) 3 x 5 strips. (2) 2 ½ x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (5) 2 ½ x 8 ½ strips. See instructions to cut (4) flowers. Fabric P (2945-66 Dot Lime), cut: See instructions to cut (24) leaves. See instructions to cut (12) stems. Backing (2944-01 Bicycles White), cut: (2) 72 x WOF strips. Sew the strips together and cut the 72 x 84 back. Sewing Sew using a ¼ seam allowance with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise indicated. Always press towards the darker fabric while assembling, unless otherwise noted by the arrows. Block Assembly 1. Place (1) 4 ⅞ Fabric E square on top of (1) 4 ⅞ Fabric F square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew ¼ away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make two EF large units (Fig. 3). Trim the EF units to measure 4 ½ square. Repeat to make eight EF large units total (You will only use seven of the units). Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Fig. 3

STUDIO e PROJECTS Page 5 of 7 5. Sew (1) 3 ½ x 30 ½ Fabric B strip to each side of the 18 ½ x 30 ½ Fabric A rectangle. Sew (1) 3 ½ Fabric C square to each end of (1) 3 ½ x 18 ½ Fabric B strip to make the top border. Repeat to make the bottom border. Sew the borders to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A rectangle to make the center block (Fig. 7). Fig. 7 Quilt Top Assembly 6. Sew (3) house blocks together to make a side border. Repeat to make a second side border. Sew (1) strip to each side of the center block (Fig. 8). 7. Sew (4) house blocks together to make the top border. Repeat to make the bottom border. Sew the borders to the top and bottom of the center block to make the quilt top (Fig. 9). Fig. 8 Fig. 9
STUDIO e PROJECTS Page 6 of 7 8. Following the manufacturer s instructions, trace the listed number of each template onto the paper side of the fusible web. Roughly cut out each template about ⅛ outside the drawn lines. 9. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed on the templates. Cut out each template on the drawn lines. 10. Refer to the Figure 10 to arrange and press the (12) flowers, (12) stems and (24) leaves onto the house blocks. 11. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch. 12. Sew (1) 2 ½ x 60 ½ Fabric M strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 2 ½ x 52 ½ Fabric M strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top (Fig. 11). Fig. 10 Fig. 11
STUDIO e PROJECTS Page 7 of 7 13. Sew (1) 6 ½ x 64 ½ Fabric B strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 6 ½ Fabric O square to each end of (1) 6 ½ x 52 ½ Fabric B strip to make the top border. Repeat to make the bottom border. Sew the borders to the quilt top (Fig. 12). Fig. 12 Layering, Quilting and Finishing 14. Press the quilt top and 72 x 84 backing well. Layer backing (wrong side up), batting, pressed quilt top (right side up) and baste. Quilt as desired and trim excess batting and backing when quilting is complete. Binding 15. Cut the ends of the (7) Fabric C binding strips at a 45-degree angle and sew end to end to make (1) continuous piece of binding. Fold in half lengthwise and press wrong sides together. 16. Sew the binding to the front of the quilt, raw edges together. Turn the folded edge to the back, and hand stitch in place.
