Incorporaes an inernal DC-DC converer for each channel. Includes a VCE monioring of IGBT providing proecion in case of desa failure by sof urning-off he IGBT sending an opically isolaed feedback faul signal. I also provides an under volage lock ou proecion o avoid rigger he IGBT wih insufficien gae volage. The fan-in of each driver channel is a signal PWM and a rese (for faul saus) TTL compaible. Faul oupu of each channel is open collecor and can be ORed easily by a pull up resisor. SCiCoreDrive62 offers 2 oupus for IGBT gae in order o connec differen gae resisors values for urn on and off he IGBT, and no addiional diodes is required. DETERMINING MAXIMUM ALLOWED SWITCHING FREQUENCY There are 3 parameers in he driver ha limis he swiching frequency a IGBT gae: maximum swiching frequency of he driver, (inernal limiaion of he driver), maximum gae charge per pulse (i depends of he inpu gae capaciance of he IGBT) and he maximum oupu power per channel. During he on sae of he IGBT TX, if a volage larger han 7 V appears in COL TX, i means ha he IGBT is desauraed and i is working in acive region, I can be dangerous because IGBT dissipaes a lo of power in his sae, hen a failure condiion is deeced. When an IGBT faul is riggered, is corresponding IGBT is sof-urned off via ROFF TX erminal, reducing he IGBT curren o zero in a conrolled manner o avoid poenial IGBT damage from inducive overvolages. Simulaneously, he faul saus of he IGBT TX is ransmied back o he primary side, where he faul lach disables he gae conrol, and FAULT TX oupu is urned low. Faul saus of channel X remains low unil RESET TX is acivaed (acive low). UVLO The UnderVolage LockOu (UVLO) feaure is designed o preven he applicaion of insufficien gae volage o he IGBT by forcing he SCiCoreDrive62 oupu low during power-up. IGBTs ypically require gae volages of 5 V o achieve heir raed V CE(ON) volage. A gae volages below 3 V ypically, heir onvolage increases dramaically, especially a higher currens. A very low gae volages (below 0 V), he IGBT may operae in he linear region and quickly overhea. The UVLO funcion causes he oupu o be clamped whenever insufficien operaing supply is applied.
