Bass ludspeaker (subwfer) In rear left f luggage cmpartment under side trim Remving 78 10. Hands-free ludspeaker In frnt driver's dr. Remving 119 Only fr vehicles with BOSE sund system in cnjunctin with telephne Fr all ther vehicles, the ludspeakers in the frnt dr trims are used. If ther radi units are fitted (vehicles 1998 ), the aerial amplifier may be impaired, as riginal Audi radi units are fitted with a "remte pwered aerial", i.e. the vltage supply fr the aerial amplifier is prvided via the centre cnductr f the high-frequency cable. The remte pwer adapter frm the Vlkswagen and Audi range (Vtex) shuld therefre be used GR : What this means is 12 vlt is send via the centre line f the aerial cable itself... Frm web Its sle jb is t amplify the Radi Frequency signal frm the glass munted aerial. The 12 vlt pwer feed t this Audi RF amp unit is supplied by the Audi head unit dwn its aerial cnnectr via the caxial cable (n separate pwer lead r trigger). Aftermarket head units dn t supply a 12 vlt pwer feed dwn their aerial cnnectrs, s the 12 vlts has t be supplied dwn the aerial lead by what is cmmnly called an 'aerial amp' but in reality is a 12 vlt supply & frequency separatin filter. The aerial amp yu have purchased has nly ne use, t supply +12 vlts dwn the caxial cable and filter ut the interference this 12 vlts causes. It is needed but very prblematic s try different makes
