HALLOWEEN...VINTAGE STYLE! PAGE 2 Cool crisp air, the crunch of leaves and acorns...fall is here, and Halloween is not far behind! This year, make your Halloween extra special and creative, with a twist of vintage. In this mini Idea Book, you will find spooky home decor, treat bag projects for special trick or treaters, and an album to scrapbook all of the fun. We hope you are inspired to make this years Halloween one to remember! Treats & Tags Step 1: fold lunch sack in half and stitch along sides to create pocket. Step 2: Edge pocket with black crepe, ribbon and plastic spider. Step 3: Add title and imagery to front of pocket as desired. Step 4: Cut tag shapes from patterned cardstock, and embellish with ribbon, images and titles as desired. Step 5: Insert tags into pocket. Add additional vintage interest by adding vintage Addams Family card and Bingo card. Step 6: Create a memory pocket by adhering photos to tags, or use tags as journaling blocks. HALLOWEEN MINI ALBUM BY SHELLYE MCDANIEL! Step 1: To create cover, cut down Echo Park Haunted Forest to size of album cover, stitch border, and adhere to book cover. Add black Twirly Twine border. Step 2: Cut down and layer G45 Bewitched paper and Making Memories Spellbound paper and layer on cover as pictured at angles and using adhesive foam squares. Cut focal image from patterned cardstock, adhere and trim with aqua Twirly Twine. Step 3: Add vintage black buttons to center of flowers, group together and adhere to right side of cover. Cut a strip of black crepe paper fringe, crinkle and adhere to left side of cover. Step 4: Add ribbon and aqua tinsel to book rings. Step 5: Fill pages with more Halloween fun! HALLOWEEN CANDLE WRAPS BY DIANE PAYNE Step 1: Cut patterned paper 1 1/4 tall and wide enough to go around the diameter of candle. Attach the strip of paper to the candle with adhesive. Sample uses Making Memories Newsprint Spellbound cardstock. Step 2: To create the medallion, cut a 1 3/8" circle from card stock for the base. Next, cut a 10 inch strip of the Halloween fringed crepe and fold in half lengthwise. Apply adhesive to the circle and lay the fringed crepe paper around the outer edge of the circle. Step 3: Cut a slightly larger circle from decorative paper for the front of the medallion. Sample shows the Echo Park Haunted Forest paper. Apply a thin layer of glue to the outer edge and dip it in silver vintage glass glitter. Once glitter dries, adhere the decorative circle to the base of the medallion. Step 5: Decorate the medallion with the design(s) and greetings of your choice then attach them to the paper wrap on the candle (witches hat comes from Graphic 45 Bewitched cardstock). A candle wrap is an easy way to dress up your holiday candle display or a candle for gift giving.! HALLOWEEN TREAT BAG BY ANDREA BUDJACK! Step 1: Adhere paper strips of patterned cardstock and book paper to bottom of vintage paper treat bag. Stitch embellished treat bag to two layers of canvas fabric (keeping stitches exposed) to create bag. Stitch along three sides only, leaving the top open. Fringe sides of fabric for additional interest. Step 2: Adhere crepe paper fringe garland to bottom of bag. Step 3. Die cut rectangular label from patterned cardstock. Layer strips of pumpkin cardstock on top of label and stitch together. Wrap black twill ribbon around label, tie in bow and adhere to vintage treat bag. Step 4: Hand cut two bats, folding up wings for depth, and adhere onto label. Add alpha stickers. HALLOWEEN LOLLIPOPS! PAGE 6 Step 1: Paint wooden dowels with black acrylic paint. Set aside to dry. Step 2: Trim out a 3 inch circle from black cardstock. Trim out a slightly smaller circle from orange cardstock. Edge orange cardstock circle with decorative scissors. Adhere orange circle to black circle. Step 3: Cut a 12 x 1 strip from vintage sheet music. Accordion fold using bone folder to create sharp creases. Fold into a circle and adhere edges. Glue to center of orange cardstock circle. Step 4: Adhere Halloween image or title to center of sheet music. Step 5: Tape painted dowel to back of cardstock circles. Further decorate dowel with ribbon.
