Ask any board member for AMA and club membership applications. From the April newsletter. What Aircraft is this? It is a Spacewalker From April this is the cockpit of a Spitfire. The stick is unusual in that the entire column moves fore and aft but only the top 8 or 10 inches moves left and right for aileron control. 2 of 6
MINUTES OF MEETING of May 5, 2014 Meeting called to order by Ray at 7:30PM with 15 members present. 1. Secretary s report: a. 55 Membership Renewals to Date for 2014 (1 new member) b. The May Fun-Fly was cancelled due to high winds. 2. Treasurer s report: Read and accepted. See report below. 3. Field Director s report: a. We had the Spring cleanup, which was a huge success, most members showed up to help out, thank you all. Seth was not a member yet but helped us. Thanks Seth and welcome to the club. b. We have new wind socks, one at each end of the field. c. The access road effort was completed. Thank you all for your help. d. Paul gained access to a roller which was used to roll the field and the gravel and stone on the access road. Thank you Paul. e. The Field is in excellent shape. 4. Old business: a. SAFETY REMINDER. We need to be more diligent about not flying over the road. Any accident would most likely result in us losing our lease. If you see someone flying over the road, please bring it to their attention. It's possible they don't even realize it. b. FIELD LICENSE. Randy will get a copy of the lease to Ray for the website. c. FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS. The club has only (2) active Flight Instructors officially, If you are interested in volunteering as a flight instructor please see Randy Holtgrefe. If you would like to be listed as an official instructor contact Ray Helin d. CLUB TRAINING PLANES. Jim has donated a 2.4ghz JR radio and Spektrum receivers to the club, Thank you Jim, this was very generous of you. e. CLUB LOGO SIGN POST. Randy is working on completing the sign post, Bill R gave Randy nice stainless hinges to assist with the completion of the sign, Thanks Bill. f. CLUB BOAT. The previous club boat was stolen from the field. We are looking for a boat to replace it. Contact Randy if you have one that you could donate or are selling for low price. 5. New Business a. TRAVELING TROPHY. Jonathan received a traveling trophy for 2013 Fun-Fly season. b. MEMBERSHIP ID CARD. Please remember to wear your membership ID card when flying at the field. We would like to encourage members to do this if possible. d. TOYS FOR TOTS. Joel has requested to receive the toys donated for the toys for tots fun-fly in November before the start of the event. The Marines will come to the field to pick them up. e. GARDNER SCALE FLY IN.
