Island Oasis 6 x 6 Recipe Page Holder Designed By: Shelby Kahalekulu-Nakama May 2010 Use this 6 x 6 Recipe Page Holder to organize and store the recipe pages you create from Craft Project Central. Instructions Step 1 Score 1/2 on all sides of the 7-1/4 x 3 Old Olive card stock piece to form your holder bottom. Crease score lines using a Bone Folder. Then, snip two score lines on each end of holder. Form the holder bottom by using Sticky Strip to adhere the flaps. Set aside. Step 1 Step 1 Step 1
Step 2 Score 1/2 on the 6 sides of both 3 x 6 Old Olive card stock pieces to form the sides of your holder. Crease score lines using a Bone Folder. Adhere holder sides to holder bottom by placing pieces of Sticky Strip along the bottom edge of each side. Then, attach holder sides to each end of holder bottom. Step 2 Step 2 Step 2 Step 3 Using the scoring blade, you will create a small notch to mark a 1/2 from the right and left edges of a 6-1/4 x 6 Old Olive card stock piece, which is the holder front. Then, using a pencil and a ruler, make a mark 1-1/8 in from the top and right and left edges of the holder front. Draw a line between the two marks. Using the 1-1/4 Square punch, punch three squares along the line. Using the Paper Cutter, cut the excess Old Olive card stock from the holder front by cutting diagonally from the 1/2 mark from each side of the holder front, to the bottom corners of the first and last squares. Using Sticky Strip, adhere the holder front to the holder sides. Step 3 Step 3 Step 3
Step 3 Step 3 Step 3 Step 3 Step 3 Step 3 Step 4 Using Sticky Strip, adhere the second 6-1/4 x 6 Old Olive card stock piece to the opposite side of the holder front to create the back of your holder. Step 5 Using the Taffy Alphabet stamp set and Old Olive Classic Stampin Pad, stamp the word recipes onto the 6-1/4 x 2 Whisper White card stock piece towards the right side of the card stock piece.
Step 5 Step 6 Using SNAIL adhesive, layer the stamped Whisper White card stock piece onto the 6-1/4 x 2-3/4 Island Oasis Designer Series Paper (DSP) piece. Then, using SNAIL adhesive, adhere the two pieces of 6-1/4 Old Olive grosgrain ribbon above and below the word recipes. Set aside. Step 6 Step 7 Using the Scallop Edge punch, punch scallops along the top and bottom edges of the 6-1/4 x 4 So Saffron card stock piece. Then, using SNAIL adhesive, layer the stamped Whisper White card stock piece onto the scalloped So Saffron card stock piece. Set aside. Step 8 Using the Big Shot and the Island Floral Bigz die, cut two large five petal flowers from the scrap pieces of Island Oasis DSP, one small five pointed petal flower and one small Old Olive five pointed petal flower. Then, curl flower petals by running the petals between the Bone Folder and your thumb, as if you re curling ribbon. Using a Circle Fire rhinestone brad, attach all flowers together, making sure to alternate petals so you can see the two sides of the Island Oasis DSP. Set aside.
Step 8 Step 8 Step 8 Step 9 Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere the decorated and layered recipes piece to the front of your recipe holder. Then, using a Stampin Dimensional, adhere the layered flower to the left of the word recipes. Step 10 Using the From the Kitchen Of stamp set and a Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin Pad, stamp the following images on scrap pieces of Whisper White card stock: breads, veggies, salads & sides, soups, stews & sauces, meats & main dishes, desserts, and misc. Color the bread image, the spoon image, the whole chicken image using the Creamy Caramel Stampin Write Marker. Color the peas in the pod using the Mellow Moss Stampin Write Marker. Color the pod using the Always Artichoke Stampin Write Marker. Color the garnishment under the whole chicken using the Old Olive Stampin Write Marker. Color the ice cream using the Close to Cocoa Stampin Write Marker. Color the cherry using the Real Red Stampin Write Marker. Color the first and third bowls using the So Saffron Stampin Write Marker and then color the second and fourth bowls using the Pumpkin Pie Stampin Write Marker. Step 10
Step 11 Using the 1-1/4 Circle punch, punch out the colored breads, veggies, salads & sides, soups, stews & sauces, meats & main dishes, desserts, and misc. images. Using the 1-3/8 Circle punch, punch six circles from a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. Then, using SNAIL adhesive on the top half of the circle, layer the punched images to the Pumpkin Pie circles. Carefully align and place your newly layered index markers onto the six pieces of 6 x 6 So Saffron card stock pieces so that you are able to see each image. Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere the bottom half of the index markers to the So Saffron card stock pieces, making sure the bottom half of the colored image is in the front of the index divider, and the bottom half of the Pumpkin Pie 1-3/8 circle is adhere in the back of the index divider.
