Bridal Shower Ensemble Designed By: Leena Girsa March 2013 Spring brings showers not only wet ones, but bridal ones too! This ensemble takes care of the invitations, favors and coordinating Thank You cards that would make a wonderful gift for the bride to be. Change up the colors to match those of the wedding; or change the embellishments and they would work for an adorable princess party for a child. Favor Box Instructions Step 1 Cut one purse from the 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla card stock using the Petite Purse Bigz L die. Set it aside.
Step 1 Step 2 Cut three dresses from each of the three 4-1/4 x 2-3/4 pieces of Very Vanilla card stock using the Dress Up Framelits. Step 2 Step 3 Using the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 pieces of Very Vanilla card stock, cut three partial ovals using the third largest die in the Ovals Collection Framelits. Before cutting, align the left edge of the die at 2-3/4 in from the left edge of the card stock as shown. Step 3
Step 4 Using the eyelet-patterned Edgelits from the Finishing Touches set, cut along the straight edge of each partial oval. Step 4a Step 4b Step 5 Position one partial oval in the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder as shown. Run it through the Big Shot. Repeat for the remaining two partial ovals. Step 5a Step 5b Step 6 Adhere one partial oval to the skirt of one of the die cut dresses as shown. Repeat with the other two partial ovals. Step 6
Step 7 Apply a Glue Dot to each end of one of the 2 pieces of Baja Breeze 1/8 taffeta ribbon. Secure one end of the ribbon to the front of the dress at the waist. Wrap the ribbon around the waist and secure, overlapping the ends. Repeat for the remaining two dresses. Step 7 Step 8 Apply a strip of six Pearl Basic Jewels from the waist to the neckline of the dress as shown. Repeat for the remaining two dresses. Step 8 Step 9 Cut one flower from the Vanilla 5/8 Flower Trim. Trim off the outermost spiral of fabric, trimming the tulle between the fabric, so as not to cause the entire flower to unravel. This will decrease the size of the flower to approximately ½. Step 9a Step 9b
Step 10 Adhere the raw edge of the flower to the back of the flower using a Glue Dot. Step 10 Step 11 Adhere the flower at the waist of the dress, covering the ends of the ribbon. Repeat for the other two dresses. Step 11 Step 12 Apply medium Pearl Basic Jewels to the centers of the embossed flowers on each dress. Set dresses aside (you will use one of them on the next project).
Step 12 Step 13 Trim the top flap off of the die cut purse as shown. Step 13 Step 14 Trim the sides of the purse as shown. Step 14 Step 15 Fold all score lines inwards.
Step 15 Step 16 Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the narrow tabs and adhere the sides together. Step 16 Step 17 Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the front of the purse. Adhere one of the dresses to the front of the purse, ensuring the bottom edge of the dress lines up with the bottom edge of the purse. Step 17 Step 18 Turn the purse over and adhere a second dress to the back side in the same manner.
Step 18 Invitation Instructions Step 1 With the long side at the top, score the 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece of Baja Breeze card stock at 4-1/4. Fold along score line. Using the largest die from the Ovals Collection Framelits, lay the die on the folded card stock so that the left edge of the die extends past the fold as shown. Run both through the Big Shot. Step 1a Step 1b Step 2 Place the die-cut oval in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder as shown and run it through the Big Shot. This is the base for your invitation. Step 2a Step 2b
Step 3 Adhere the remaining dress (from making the Favor Box) to the front of the card using Stampin Dimensionals. Step 4 Stamp It s a Shower from the Cuddles and Kisses stamp set on Very Vanilla card stock using Baja Breeze ink. Punch out the image using the Large Oval punch. Layer the stamped oval on a punched Baja Breeze XL Scalloped Oval and adhere. Apply smallest Pearl Basic Jewels to each scallop on the oval. Adhere the sentiment to the card as shown. Step 4a Step 4b Step 5 Place the flap of the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope in the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder as shown. Run both through the Big Shot. Step 5a Step 5b Thank You Card Instructions Step 1 With the long side at the top, score the 5 x 7 piece of Very Vanilla card stock at 3-1/2. Fold along the score line. This is your card base.
Step 1 Step 2 Place the 3-1/4 x 4-3/4 piece of Very Vanilla card stock into the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder as shown. Run both through the Big Shot. Step 2a Step 2b Step 3 Center the third smallest die from the Ovals Collection Framelits on the embossed card stock. Run both through the Big Shot. Step 3a Step 3b
Step 4 Using the third largest die from the Ovals Collection Framelits, die cut an oval from the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Baja Breeze card stock. Emboss the die-cut oval using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Step 4 Step 5 Adhere the die-cut oval to the back of the embossed card stock panel. Step 6 Adhere the card stock panel to the card base. Step 5 Step 6
Step 7 Stamp Thank You from the Curly Cute set on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock using Baja Breeze ink. Die cut it out using the smallest die from the Ovals Collection Framelits. Adhere the sentiment to the card, centering it inside the Baja Breeze oval. Step 7 Step 8 Trim a flower from the Vanilla 5/8 Flower Trim, cutting it down to ½, as you did for the dresses. Make two loops with the two 2 pieces of Baja Breeze 1/8 taffeta ribbon and adhere them to the back of the flower using Glue Dots. Adhere the flower to the card as shown. Step 8 Step 9 Apply medium Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of each embossed flower on the front of the card. Step 9
