With ur new QMT-1 and SVM-3 capabilities, transprting vter receiver and transmitter audi can use the custmer s IP netwrk. The IP backhaul vting prcess uses ur SVM-3, and QMT-1 t handle the challenges that netwrk delay and jitter add t the vting prcess. The QMT-1, single channel IP Vting Mdem Unit, gives an interface t the remte receiver and transmitter and perfrms these functins at the remte RX/TX sites: Analg t digital translatin f RX audi, digital t analg translatin fr TX audi Accurate Signal Quality analysis dne at receiver site When an Unsquelch cnditin ccurs, the QMT-1 cnverts the analg audi t IP fr transfer t the SVM-3. Each SVM-3 mdule can talk t three receivers, and wrks in cnjunctin with the CPM-3 t check the arrival timing fr an accurate vte between the standard SVM-2 mdules and the new IP backhaul SVM-3 mdules. All mdules audi, whether SVM-2 r SVM-3 arrive at the vter, and are held by the site vter mdules until the CPM-3 receives indicatin that all unsquelched mdules audi have arrived at the SVM-3 s. The CPM-3 then crdinates audi alignment with each site vter mdule allwing the vting prcess t ccur, having held the early arriving audi. Nte the SVM-1 cannt wrk with the CPM-3 and SVM-3 backhaul. The QMT-1 cnnects remte receivers t an SNV-12 with SVM-3 mdules ver internet prtcl technlgy. The QMT-1 interfaces full duplex audi, and ffers superir audi quality. 4 P a g e
JPS Interperability Slutins Prducts & Capabilities Executive Summary The QMT-1 is an 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet device and each unit has a unique Ethernet address and a RJ-45 physical jack. A 10/100BASE-T device runs at 100Mbps and intercnnects t a hub (star tplgy) using standard CAT 5 twisted pair cable. The greatest cable length between an QMT-1 and its hub prt is 100 meters. With the right cnnective equipment, the QMT-1 s Ethernet prt can link up with any kind f LAN r WAN, n matter the tplgy r cable system in use. The SNV-12 Vter can retransmit the best quality field radi traffic frm a multiple LMR receiver/transmitter envirnment using the new SVM-3, and the IP Backhaul capability f the QMT-1, and the standard 4-wire audi and signaling interface f the SVM-2. 5 P a g e
