Love Impressions Hot Chocolate Holder Designed By: Jacque Craig February 2011 Here s another form of chocolate that you can give to your loved ones for Valentine s Day or any time of the year to keep them warm! Instructions Step 1 Take two 7 x 9-1/2 pieces of Real Red textured card stock and score at ½ and 4-1/2. Turn and score the 9-1/2 side at 3. Cut up to the score line on the bottom two score lines, cutting out the ½ bottom piece completely. Step 1
Step 2 Turn one of the 7 x 9-1/2 pieces upside down (non-textured side up), and score the bottom flap ½ from the 3 score line. You will only be scoring one of the bottom flaps, the one that is closest to the ½ piece that was cut off. Step 2 Step 3 Turn the card stock back over and fold on the ½ score line that you just made. Next, using a pencil, draw lines ¼ from the ½ and 4-1/2 score lines. Step 3
Step 4 Using the 1-1/4 Square punch and starting on the left side at the pencil mark, take the punch up as far as it will go and punch. Move the punch over to the right at the other pencil mark and punch again. Finally take the punch into the middle and punch out the last remaining center piece. Note: You will be punching through two pieces of card stock. The original layer, and the layer that you folded up from the last step. Step 4 Step 5 After punching the rectangular opening, fold the bottom flap back down and using a 1-1/4 Circle punch, punch a small piece from the top of your opening. Your piece will now look like the picture below. Step 5
Step 6 Turn the card stock over (to what will be the inside of the box) and using SNAIL adhesive, adhere a 3 x 4 piece of Love Impressions Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) over the opening in the bottom flap. Step 6 Step 7 Using Sticky Strip, adhere the second 7 x 9-1/2 piece of card stock to the ½ side flap of the piece that you just finished punching. Adhere the other side as well to form the sides of the box. Step 7
Step 8 Fold up bottom flaps in the following order. Front flap (with DSP), back flap, side flaps. Adhere each layer with Sticky Strip. Step 8 Step 9 To make the lid take a 6 x 7 piece of Love Impressions DSP and score lightly at 15/16 on all four sides. Cut up to the score line on opposite sides and adhere corner tabs using Sticky Strip. Step 9
Step 10 Using the Scallop Trim Border punch, punch one side of the two 1-1/4 x 4 pieces and one side of the two 1-1/4 x 5 pieces of Pretty in Pink card stock. Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere to the inside sides of the box lid. Step 10 Step 11 Using the Circles #2 originals die and a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock, cut out the second largest circle on the die. Using a Basic Gray Stampin Write Marker, color in the mug image from the Pun Fun stamp set. Do not color in the greeting under the mug. Stamp image on the Whisper White circle. Using the Real Red Stampin Write Marker, stamp the for you greeting from the Clearly for You stamp set, under the mug. Color in the mug using Real Red, Pretty in Pink, and Chocolate Chip Stampin Write Markers. Step 11
Step 12 Using the 2/3 Scallop Circle punch, punch a scallop circle from a scrap piece of Real Red textured card stock. Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere the stamped image to the scallop circle. Using a 2-Way Glue Pen, decorate the mug and steam as desired with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin Glitter. Step 12 Step 13 Put the lid on the box bottom and tie a 28 length of Basic Black 3/8 taffeta ribbon around the lid. Use Mini Glue Dots to secure the ribbon to the box lid, under the bow. Using the 1/8 hole punch on a Crop-A-Dile, punch a hole at the top of the stamped piece and attach to the box using a 6-1/2 piece of Real Red 1/8 taffeta ribbon. Step 13
