RE 309/06.05 VT-MRPA, VT-MRPA Hydralics Bosch Rexroth AG 3/0 Fnctional description General The amplifier modles are to be snapped onto top hat rails according to EN 6075. The electrical connection is made by means of screw terminals. The modles are operated at 4V DC. Power spply nit [] The amplifier modles are provided with a power spply nit with switch-on crrent limiter. The power spply nit provides all internally reqired positive and negative spply voltages. The switch-on crrent limiter prevents high switch-on crrent peaks. Command vale feedforward The internal command vale signal is generated from the sm [3] of the external command vale signal applied to differential inpt [] and the zero point offset (zero point potentiometer Zw ). The following is valid for VT-MRPA: A positive command vale cases an increase in crrent in solenoid b and hence a flow in the valve from P to A and from B to T. A negative command vale cases an increase in crrent in solenoid a and hence a flow in the valve from P to B and from A to T. The following is valid for VT-MRPA: A positive command vale cases an increase in crrent in the solenoid. Enable fnction [] The enable fnction is sed to enable the crrent otpt stages and to pass the internal command vale signal on to the ramp generator. The enable signal is indicated by an LED on the front panel. When the enable is granted, the internal command vale changes over the set ramp time (with any command vale selection). The valve does therefore not open sddenly when activated. Characteristic crve generator [5] The adjstable characteristic crve generator can be sed to adjst step-change heights symmetrically (with VT-MRPA only) and maximm vales for positive and negative signals separately (with VT-MRPA only) to sit the hydralic reqirements. The actal line of the characteristic crve throgh the zero point is not stepped, bt linear. Amplitde limiter [6] The internal command vale is limited to approx. ±0 % (with VT-MRPA) or +0 % (with VT-MRPA) of the nominal range. Oscillator [9] The oscillator generates the control signal for the indctive position transdcer. Demodlator [0] The demodlator generates the actal vale signal of the valve spool position from the position transdcer signal: ±00 % ±0 V (with VT-MRPA) or +00 % +0 V (with VT-MRPA), respectively Controller for valve spool position [7] The position controller is optimised specifically to the valve. Crrent otpt stage [8] The crrent otpt stage generates the clocked solenoid crrent for the proportional valve. The solenoid crrent is limited to.4 A to.6 A per otpt. The otpt stage otpts are shortcircit-proof. In the event of an internal falt signal or missing enable, the otpt stages are de-energised. Falt detection [4] The position transdcer cable is monitored for cable break and primary-sided short-circit, and the otpt stage for overcrrent. [ ] = Cross-reference to block circit diagrams on pages 4 and 5 Ramp generator [4] The ramp generator limits the gradient of the control otpt. The downstream step fnctions and amplitde attenators do not shorten or extend the ramp time. Note on the adjstment and measrement of the ramp time: Vale at measring socket "t <" or "t >" U t in V 5 3 Crrent ramp time (± 0 %) t in ms 0 33 50 U t in V 0.5 0.3 0. 0. 0.05 0.03 0.0 t in ms 00 00 333 500 000 000 3333 5000 The following is valid: t = 00 V ms U t Example: Measred U t = 5 V reslts in t = 00 V ms = 0 ms 5 V

8/0 Bosch Rexroth AG Hydralics VT-MRPA, VT-MRPA RE 309/06.05 Engineering / maintenance notes / spplementary information The amplifier modle may only be wired when disconnected from the power spply! Do not lay cables near power cables! Do not se free-wheeling diodes in solenoid cables! The distance to aerial lines, radio sorces and radar eqipment mst be at least m! Always shield command vale and position transdcer cables; connect the shield to the protective earth (PE) on the modle side! In individal cases (e.g. in the case of PE with severe interference) it may be reqired to connect the shield of the position transdcer cable directly to L0 of the amplifier modle; leave the other end open (risk of earth loops). Recommendation: Also shield solenoid cables! For solenoid cables p to 50 m length, se cable type LiYCY.5 mm! For greater lengths, please conslt s! For passing on command vales, se relays with gold-plated contacts (small voltages, small crrents)! Measrements on the modle may only be taken with instrments R i > 00 kω. To adjst the potentiometers, se a screw driver with a blade width of 4 mm! In the case of strongly flctating operating voltages, it may be reqired to install an external smoothing capacitor having a capacitance of at least 00 µf. Recommendation: Capacitor modle VT 073 (see RE 9750), sfficient for p to 3 amplifier modles
