Hair Accessories & Gift Box Designed By: Michelle Ueligitone March 2010 Who wouldn t love a cute little flower box filled to the brim with adorable hair accessories? Instructions for Flower Box Take your 5-½ x 9 piece of Real Red card stock and score at 1-½ and 4 along the 5-½ side. Turn and score at 1, 3-½, 5 and 7-½ along the 9 side.
Step 2 Cut up to 3-½ score line on both sides (along the 9 side) with your Paper Snips. Cut these sections off. To create flaps of box, cut up to the 1-½ score line (along the 5-½ side) and then miter the corners. This will give the inside a more finished look. Step 2 Step 3 Fold all score lines to create box. Adhere sides with Sticky Strip. Punch ends of top with 3/16 Corner Rounder punch. Step 3
Step 4 Using the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and the Flower Folds Bigz XL die, cut flowers out of Sending Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Very Vanilla card stock in various sizes. Step 4 Step 5 Take one of the largest flowers and put to the side for the bottom of the box. Layer the remaining flowers, biggest to smallest and pierce the center using your Paper-Piercing Tool and Mat Pad. Insert a Pretty in Pink corduroy button through the center of the flowers. Using Sticky Strip, adhere the flower to the top of the box. Also adhere the single large flower to the bottom. Step 5
Step 6 Using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die, cut out two different sized butterflies. Adhere together using SNAIL adhesive, pierce through layers, and insert a Square Ice rhinestone brad. Step 6 Step 7 Taking a paper clip and pencil, wrap paper clip around pencil to form a spiral. Attach to butterfly by crisscrossing the backing of the rhinestone brad around the paper clip. Step 7 Step 8 Wrap opposite end of paper clip around the Pretty in Pink corduroy button.
Step 8 Instructions for Hair Accessories: Flowers Using the Big Shot and Flower Folds die, cut out different sized flowers from canvas and various coordinating printed fabric. Note: The fabrics can be layered in order to cut out several flowers at one time. Step 2 Layer flowers, alternating between canvas and printed fabric from large to small. Take a Chocolate Chip Corduroy button and sew through all layers.
Step 2 Step 3 Sew flower on to headband, bobby pin or other desired hair accessory (headband being shown). Instructions for Hair Accessories: Butterfly Step 3 Using the Big Shot and Beautiful Butterflies die, cut out two different sized butterflies from canvas and printed fabric.
Step 2 Layer butterflies and sew a Designer Series Chocolate Chip Latte button through all layers. Sew the butterfly to an elastic rubber band. Step 2 *Flowers and butterflies can be made in various colors and sizes and attached to different types of hair accessories
