Holiday Helper Candy Cane Lane Wreath Decorating your home for the holidays is a very special occasion. This rustic, country-style wreath will be the perfect addition to your entry way, or coupled with other home décor around the house. You ll be creating something that will bring a soft country feel to your home; or a heart-warming WOW from that special someone who has just received it as a gift. INSTRUCTIONS Step 1 There are 12 sheets of Designer Series Paper in the pack. Take 1 each of 6 double-sided designs and cut 2 sets of 6 x 6 squares. You will have 12 unique designs to create your wreath. Step 2 Score one corner at 1 on all 12 sheets. Step 3 Fold on score line using bone folder. 3
Step 4 Using the Simply Scoring Tool, score a small mark at 1-1/2 on both corners. Score from that mark to the bottom edge of the folder corner. Step 5 Fold each side on the score line using a bone folder. Add Tear and Tape to one side along the scored edge. Peel lining off and bring flap from opposite side and line up flush to edge. Make sure corner line up on top and bottom to form a cone. Step 6 Two examples of formed cones illustrating the flat bottoms. The flat bottoms will help keep the cone from rolling when assembling together. 4
Step 7 Using old ribbon spool, remove the large chipboard circles to reveal a cardboard ring. Step 8 Add Tear & Tape to each side of all cones Step 9 Using the ribbon spool ring as a guide, stick the cones together one-by-one and side-by-side. Be careful to make sure the bottoms meet flush with the spool ring. 5
Step 10 All 12 6 x 6 Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper cones adhered to each other and flush to the spool ring. Step 11 Use the Layering Circles Framelits die cut the following: 1 circle from 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 crumb cake cardstock 2 circles from 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 crumb cake cardstock 2 circles from 3 x 3 early espresso cardstock Die cut the word jolly from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits out of real red cardstock. Step 12 Adhere the 2-1/8 Crumb Cake circle to the spool ring with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. This will be facing the front of the wreath. Add Multipurpose Glue to the spool ring and the tips of the paper cones and set in the center of the formed wreath. Let liquid glue dry completely. 6
Step 13 Glue the 1 st of 2 Crumb Cake circles to an Early Espresso circle. Glue this to the back of the wreath to give a finished touch. Step 14 Create the front centerpiece by centering the matted Crumb Cake and Early Espresso layer over a Delicate White Doily. Take a strand from the Burlap Ribbon measuring 23 and wrap into a nest of circles and lay on top of the Crumb Cake circle holding in place with a Glue Dot. Create a double bow using the Whisper White with red metallic thread from the Candy Cane Lane Baker s Twine bundle. Add to the Burlap strand using Glue Dots. Sliver some pieces of Stampin Dimensionals and add to the back of the jolly die cut and set in place across the middle of the centerpiece. Step 15 Close up of centerpiece without the jolly sentiment. Glue this centerpiece to the ribbon spool ring covered with Crumb Cake cardstock on the front of the wreath. 7
Step 16 To hang the wreath, double up some Real Red Baker s Twine from the Candy Cane Lane Baker s Twine bundle and thread down through one cone and up through the next cone. Tie in a bow (or a knot). Step 17 Finished paper wreath using Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. You can create 4 wreaths from one pack of paper! 8
