BOARD MEETING MINUTES: OCPA Board Meeting Minutes for January 2018 Meeting came to order at 6:42 pm Members present were Don Todd, Carol Todd, Kathy Chambers, Renee Marcov, Tony Mason, Curt Benward and Peggy Cooper. Not present were Bonnie Smith and Dick Chambers November 2017 meeting minutes were approved with Curt Benward motioning to accept November meeting minutes as printed in the newsletter and Carol Todd seconding same. All other board members approved meeting minutes. Treasurer's Report: Total balance is at $1697.89 to date. Renee Marcov motioned to accept report as read with Curt Benward seconding motion. All other board members approved treasurer s report as read. 4C's: A place was found to store and deliver print racks for the convention 2018 was found. Rules for 96 square have changed. They no longer need to be mounted. Hopefully this will encourage members to submit 96 square prints for our monthly 4C s judging. Lisa Nathan will set up an email address thru 4C s so we can conduct business for upcoming convention. Quarterly meetings will be held April 21st in Hood River and July 21 st place TBA. We judged EID 1 st meeting in Jan. Went well. PVM: The Show had a very poor turn out for members showing their photos, but 7 people did sell items. Shootouts: 3 people showed up to the November 30 th shootout to Shore Acres Holiday Lights. February 17the will be a table top shootout at PVM. Bring your tripods, cameras and table top items to shoot. Shootout will start at 4:00 and there will be a potluck. Bring some yummy food and come and have fun! Fair: Need to find a judge for the fair in July. Newsletter: Bonnie Graham is doing a fantastic job on the Newsletter. Keep her busy and send articles and images to proofsheet@oregoncoastphotoclub.com MOTY: No report Fundraising: Lens Pouch was won by Allison. Yard sale will be in May sometime and Carol and Don Todd have said they will host again. Of Course, one of our big fundraisers will be the Convention the first week of October held at the Mill Casino. Scavenger Hunt: We judged The Fall Scavenger Hunt. Awards were given. It went very well, and the overall images were very good. Spring Scavenger Hunt will be a full month of shooting. Times TBA Social Media: Carol Pomes has volunteered to be our Social Media Chair. New Business: Ray Wolff has suggested a speaker for club. It s small and blue tooth. It s a JBL Flip 4

4 and usually runs around $100.00. Renee Marcov motioned to appoint Tony Mason to look for sales and purchase speaker. Carol Todd seconded Renee s motion and all board members agreed.
