Your board is confirming the balance of this year and starting to plan the following year. We, the Board, will meet on Oct. 29th for a trip to Campfire Bay lodge to check out a PAINT IN location in March 2016 for 3 nights. Our Vice President is starting to secure demonstrators for 2016. We are making a plan to stagger the board office terms so that two positions will turnover each year. This will provide continuity for new board members by always having two experienced ones to aid them. This January we are looking for a new president to serve for two years. The current board will remain to support him or her. In 2016 and we are finalizing plans for Don Andrews to come in April for four days focusing on figures in landscapes. This event is part of our ongoing association with The Paramount Visual Arts Center. The Frank Zeller workshop will take place on Oct. 10 and 11, 2015 at the Paramount - also in association with the Paramount. Take down dates for Nunc Whitney cursus Sr. Center magna and quis Rivers Edge convention Center is Nov. 30. for both. 27 members enjoyed a great dinner at Watab Town Hall on Sept. 14, 2015 catered by Henri s of Foley. After camaraderie and visiting we concluded with a silent auction. Many thank you(s) to Sharon Nieters, Gordon and Yvonne Schrank, Susan Jensen- Cekala, and Sandra Koep for assisting with the auction and to the CMW board members for making this event so welcoming and pleasant. Start thinking about what you want to paint for an original card to exchange at the December meeting. Giving and getting a card is a really special time as we all get to appreciate and value each other s work while sharing the holidays. Our best wishes to Stef for a speedy recovery. We miss you a lot. Bonnie for Stef Please contact Bonnie at bswitz@cloudnet.com by the 25th of each month so we can post your event/award/display. CMW wants to support all your art adventures. The Banner Painting Here is the complete painting by Kerry Kupferschmidt who will also lead us through his finishing process of architectural renderings. He has saved the fun part to show us that of adding the color to the skies and landscapes. He will also explain how he achieves realistic (hard to match) soft colors for the structures to help the future buyer appreciate how beautiful their home will be when completed. He has worked for numerous architectural firms and builders for over 20 years. His work is published in many publications and realty magazines, etc. such as Midwest Home Magazine, Parade of Homes, and Builders Association in the Twin Cities.
